Unless you were satisfied with last season’s midfield and 20% possession you will accept an improvement on the above was necessary and fair play to our owner on the investment.

However I would suggest he wasn’t scouted properly and think we overpaid too.

Think Dominguez has looked like an excellent signing, the team has been worse since he got taken out recently.

Yes I was happy with the last season and the start of this season. It all went to shit after we scrapped a winning formula for Burnley at home. Just because we needed to improve a position doesn't mean we need to turn our squad upside down. I was much happier leaving the ground last season over this season and my expectation for both seasons has been survival. I hope you were satisfied with our 58% possession today. You mentioned at the end that he wasn't scouted properly so I'm glad you agree with my stance on our pathetic recruitment.

Well at least 95% of people were positively creaming themselves about the recruitment on 1st September last year.

Myself I still thought we were weaker at goalkeeper, left back and up front. I maintain that although Wood has showed what a proper pro he is. In patches we do look better than last year but without doubt we have lost the team spirit and probably some of the incisiveness too.

I'm a 5%. I don't want to get away from the current players topic but we create less chances with more possession. The teams around us love it because they just sit back and wait to pick us out.

We desperately needed a decent 6, it's so important in this league. The Shelvey signing didn't pay off but I still think that could have easily gone either way.

I agree with SM we focused all our money on the 6 when there were other positions required, but we went all in on ability, of which I can see sangare has but our scouting team got temperament very wrong. Sangare didn't want to come here, why would you (respectfully) from a champions league club?

Luton found one for free but you'd have to say if we'd signed Barkley our fanbase wouldn't have been overjoyed

Everybody was crying out for a number 6 and our owner backed his manager at the time who wanted his number one target (Sangare).

Not sure how it was unnecessary when every man and his dog wanted that number 6.

It is easy to try and look clever by using hindsight but 100% of people on this forum wanted a number 6 and 99.9% wanted it to be sangare.
