Yeah in reply to Zicorice above, wanted to echo the praise of the defence and keeper.
Sels made a genuinely brilliant save to deny Murillo an OG in injury time.
Neco was excellent again and also looks a real threat when crossing (more than Elanga sadly)
Both CBs did reasonably well but thought Omo in particular handled himself very well.
Special mention to Toffolo, once again a strong performance and also provided an assist to what should've been the winner for Elanga. Such an underrated player, just because he's a bit slow.
Also echo the above on Yatesy, always rises in these games where we have little possession.
Hudson- Odoi was once again really good I thought too (going forward) Although not being able to score didn't help us.

Agreed should be talking about a brilliant point and 5 clear. Hopefully what happened yesterday ignites a fire and we turn into a super team for the rest of the season might sound delusional but bar City we can get something from every game.

Elanga really needs to start finding the net again, he is sadly consistently wasting our best chances.
Someone in pub last night said to me luck goes around so all these bad decisions means we should get some decisions later in season. If they come in game vs Luton etc, we'll take that

You know, on refection, there is a definite improvement in our side since Nuno came in.
Although we didnt win against Liverpool and Man Utd, we held firm against both sides way past the 90 minute mark and kept the scores at 0-0.
If we can just learn to be more savvy at either end of the pitch, we will be fine and come next season we will be storming up the league. We need to learn when to play it and when to row z it. We also need to improve on sticking the ball in the back of the net also. Although I do think that if Elanga had scored on his 1 on1 it wouldve been ruled out for offside (marginally).
But, despite the disappointment of losing yesterday, provided we maintain the level of performance we have seen against the Mancs and the Scouces, we will be alright

I think you are being very generous to the referee- If it was a split second decision given the wrong way in the heat of the moment fair enough (we had plenty of those too) but in a dead ball situation where he knows where the ball was when play stopped, can call upon the 4th official, VAR etc to ensure he gets it right. has all of the Forest players and coaching staff telling him he is wrong yet still decides to give it well
I think it is clear why everyone was so angry at the end of the game. Will the ref be punished? unlikely.

This is a very good point. In rugby (again, I know but they are the example when it comes to refereeing so often in my view) it's not all about the ref in the middle, he can ask his assistants, they are in constant dialogue to ref the game.
Tierney or one of the 17 referees now involved in each game could have discussed the restart
"Paul just remember forest had the ball"
"Are we satisfied ball was touched outside the box before I whistled" etc

me too - the more i think about the more inconceivable it is that it was just refereeing error.
i really hope the club don’t lie down on this - surely the implications of a ref just applying his own interpretation of the rules is massive.
No doubt none of the media will pick up on this (looking at you talk shite) because it only happened to little forest.

Still furious. Hoped I’d feel better today but somehow I feel worse.
If we’d lost 7-0, I’d be annoyed but I’d take it.
But we were flat-out robbed by the officials.
Yesterday (at least half a dozen other times this season), awful, biased officiating has cost us decisions and points.
People’s jobs, livelihoods, mental health, are all at stake, not to mention all the money EM has pumped into this club. And the officiating has never been this bad. Best league in the world, and they can’t call matches down the middle or get the rules right. We battled and earned at least a point yesterday.
Enough is enough.
We’ve been screwed all season. Can only hope this gets the players, Nuno and everyone united and this starts the run that keeps us up.

One thing we need to do is stop being so nice as a side too, Omabamidele was thrown to the ground for a clear peno and he just got up like nothing had happened, if he had stayed down and brought more attention to it like all the big sides seem to do maybe that would have helped.
Doubt it though.

Agree although apparently it was checked by VAR who said it wasn’t a penalty. I know, shocker hey that another clear pull down in our box isn’t given (Everton, Newcastle, now Liverpool). You can bet had that been the other way at nil nil it would be a penalty. It was exactly the same by the way as the penalty Brighton got v us for the pull by Wood ?
