The Premier League 2023/24
They still have the Bournemouth game that was called off Cus of Lockyers collapse

Play Luton with 3 at the back to combat their ariel route and they are very suspect to quick breakaways which we have plenty of up-front, 3 points for us when we play them I think!

I know people say Kenilworth Road is a tough place to go, but they have only got 11pts from 13 games, They may have the spirit but they don’t have the points on the board, They still have to go to Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal and City which could dent there Goal Difference.

It's proven that away wins are hard to come by in the prem and that the lesser teams can turn up against the big clubs at home. That's why arsenal were buzzing when they beat us. The business is a results one. Away wins are massive.

To have the same home wins as last season we need four more from; Liverpool, Palace, Fulham, Wolves, Man City or Chelsea. Which could happen…

We already have double the away wins that we had last season, I said earlier we needed 3 more wins to be level with last years wins total and 14 more pts to be level with last years total. The away games left; Villa, Brighton, Luton, Spurs, Everton, sheff Utd, Burnley.

I think it’ll show us being more balanced this season, during the hammers game the commentators made mention of our home form saving us last year, hopefully it’ll be our away form this year.

The above shows me we need at least 1 or 2away wins. None are easy, even Sheff Utd certainly down by the time we play them will be in “we don’t care now, lets batter the scabs” mode.

So what do we want tonight then Everton - Palace?

Suppose a draw would be best.

A boring 0-0 with lots of red cards and injuries to key players on both sides

That would be perfect.

Think Palace are more vulnerable then Everton right now but of course depends if Everton get yet more points off although don’t think they will.
Be interesting to see how Glasner does seeing as he was linked here. Agree with Sniffer about him not being a natural fit for Marinakis and Mendes, we are far better suited to Nuno IMO.

Agree with your Nuno comments.. wasn't overly keen at first but he has made us better. We compete in all games now and if we can just stop the stupid errors at set pieces we will hopefully be ok.. teams will be afraid of our front 4.

Back to topic yes a draw would be best I reckon

3 at the back gives them an extra man in midfield and the tight ground is not conducive to a broad expansive game. You can see how they're decent at home.

Id match them up and go toe to toe. Dominguez, Yates and Sangare would be robust.

I wouldnt play Yates in the Luton game, purely and simply for the amount of free kicks he gives away and the majority of Lutons goals from set pieces.

That is just inviting pressure you don't need. The tenacity of Sangare, dominguez and MGW is more than enough.
