Slow start with lots of pointless possession in our own half. Lots of passing sideways with no penetration. We looked flatfooted and to be honest, uninterested until they scored. Last 15 minutes we looked a lot better. performance needs to be upped though. More on the front foot required, faster tempo and determination. This is not the team that turned out for the first 3 games that NES has been at the helm.

Yates and a deep Murillo dont have the ability to take the ball, turn and pass the ball on under pressure in midfield. The low block means they're outnumbered and undsr pressure constantly. This is the essence of the problem that plagued Cooper's sides. Be interesting to see if Nuno has an answer to this problem.

Better, much better second half so far. Quicker on the ball and looking forward. Need a few more training sessions to get this backline to stop playing the low block while we are pressuring from the front.

Not quite at it today to many just going through the motions, we lacked tempo

Second half was lots better. Played higher up the pitch and to be fair Forest defense , apart from the goals, had nothing to do. Jury still out on Oddy as he didn't see enough of the ball to form an opinion. Gibbs White transformed, involved in everything and goal of the round so far. Tavares did what he was supposed to do, he made a difference. Yes we lacked a certain fluidity but Blackpool defended deep and made it hard for us to find a way through. When we went 2-0 down I never doubted we would get back into it when previously I used to think the game was over. Congrats, we didn't give up.

That was a typical Forest performance against, on paper, a lesser able side.

We see this time and time again................ complacency. An almost superior complex which really does boil my piss!!

I sincerely hope Nuno is the man to get this attitude out of their system.

Got to give a big shout out to Nuno Tavares. He was outstanding when he came on.
