For that reason he should be treated with the utmost respect and will no doubt get an excellent reception whenever he returns to the WFCG.

100% agree, I think that at the time, Frank Clark was underappreciated.

We have had some dross.

I'd be very surprised if he took that job on. No disrespect to Brum fans but his stock is higher than them

What BCFC needs right now are Owners who actually know something about Football. Any Manager - regardless of talent - will never succeed in the face of that. And I agree, SC is worth much more.

That being said.........this IS Football so stranger things can happen.

It is higher than that but I still think Cooper has work to do in proving himself at Premier League level.

Possible new manager bounce maybe but the last 2 games have highlighted some of Cooper's limitations for us and we seemed very much a team with the handbrake on.

It'll be interesting to see if he's learnt from his experience here.

Add Paul Hart to the list who worked miracles following Platt's spending spree.

I had completley forgotten about Paul Hart, what an exciting team we had for a time.

That Paul Hart team still makes me angry to this day.
Wonderful side to watch.
Still not sure how we managed to throw away that Sheff Utd 2nd Leg in the playoffs.
Would only have needed to add a couple of quality additions on promotion.
It took me years to even watch the highlights of that play off game.
Shudder.
Then just completely dismantled over the next couple of years through one reason or another.
Poor old Harty.
Ward. MLJ. Brennan. Daws. Des. Scimeca. Williams. Reid. Huckerby. Harewood. Johnson.
Chefs Kiss.

Basically we couldn’t afford to make Huckerby’s loan permanent, Scimeca was I think out of contract, Des was 86 years old, we had to sell Marlon to balance the books. Then to cap it all Johnson Senior broke his leg and we couldn’t score for toffee. Finished mid table under Kinnear then had to sell the crown jewels the next summer of Dawson and Reid and the break up was complete.

That was a cracking team - broken up too early.
