I understand all the appreciation being given out to Cooper but on reflection the teams performance was dropping off towards the end of the promotion season. We were second best in the playoff semi and Sheffield Utd were the better team over two legs and certainly at the City Ground. The playoff final was won by an own goal and two good penalty shouts that should have been given. The first Premier league season the football was generally dire and one away win all season gives testament to it. Towards the end of the season Marinakis gave Coops an ultimatum of sorts saying that immediate improvement was required. It didn't improve that much and we were all biting our nails right until the penultimate game. This season started off moderately better than where it left off but very soon became a mirror image of the end of last season without the home performance, despite millions spent during the summer. Thank you Steve but without the Rose tinted specs the right decision has been made. I think you have said your self that "whatever the right decision is for Nottingham Forest is the right decision for me"

I've refrained from commenting but not having this bs. Talk about rose tinted f*****g specs, have you seen our team? Cooper came in and we were bottom, to get even close to promotion wad an incredible achievement. Talk about being entitled, then to expect that it should be easy with a while new team to just magically do well the following season, jeez. Please don't try and desecrate the legacy he's left but trying to diminish his incredible achievements. 23 f*****g years of largely absolute shite and he somehow tamed this beast for a short while.
If you read or listen to comments from any other teams fans (and I have today) as far as I can tell 99% are in complete agreement of what a great manager he's been. My mate who's a Boro fan and broadly Forest positive in general text me earlier saying "I hope you go down". Just to give you an idea.of the neutrals opinion, so maybe you should take you shite coloured specs that you seem to use when looking at Cooper and your rose tinted specs that you look at when you look at Chris Wood, Hudson Odoi, Montiel, Origi and whatever other bang average player you think you be starting.

I think it was the right time to twist but to be honest I think coops deserves more credit than that by a long way and it's a weird thing to write tonight. Things really haven't clicked this season but last season we went on a couple of really good runs in a much stronger league than this year. And the promotion season..... well, who cares, we won. The next few months will be very telling either way.

i am a Cooper supporter and strongly believe the ownership made a very bad decision today but Cooper did push for some of those players. After Murphy left the club recruitment got more crazy and scattergun than ever.

I still am a big supporter of Cooper but I think he just ran out of ideas and couldn't pick a formation and stick with it (granted all the injuries didn't help) We also needed to make a decision one way or another which the owners done wether its right or wrong only time will tell.

What a helpful constructive comment. You have missed your true vocation.
Your post from another thread..I take it these alternative viewpoints are only valid if you make them...

Putting aside my disappointment of events here's my take on Nuno and only Nuno;
He should get more out of some of the foreign players. Coaching in Portugal and Spain will help a lot with our squad.
Proven positive record at a similar sized club during similar times of progression and ambitious owner.
When Palace appointed Viera they turned Nuno down because of the size of his backroom team (around 10) which might help us with the bigger squad and some internal frustration with training ect.
Similar use of wing backs.
Spurs fans didn't get behind him from the start which also made it feel like it was destine to fail.
A lot doesn't change - we need to offload and we need to bring in a striker. Loan players need assessing quickly but recruitment must be quality not quantity.

I didn’t say I didn’t think you should be allowed to write the stuff. But I reserve the right to say if I think it’s rubbish and I will call out the poster who I was referring to on the other thread if he is talking rubbish too, I have done so earlier this week if you wish to check.
It was hardly my most eloquent post but sometimes I just say what I think, reckon you are big enough to take it, I am if you wish to reply in kind.
By the way its the bit about the promotion season and I had a problem with, harsh about last season too. The last comment about being the right decision for NFFC is reasonable.
