as always - he's second or third choice

Told you he was a secret Sheep lover  :Thumb:

doesn't make any sense at all.

I just don't bow to someone just because they have lots of money like you seem to.

Track records, actions speak louder than words.

These last 2 years have been a dream. Dont' forget how it was BC (before Cooper)

chaos

Actions speak louder than words. Perhaps look at our players and all the ‘we’re ready for (insert club name)’ social media messages they put out. Results clearly showed they weren’t ready.

Just got home from work to read this sad news. In my opinion this is a poor decision. Cooper has earnt more patience from the owner and a minority of supporters. When he arrived there was toxic atmosphere at the City Ground as we were inextricably sliding into division. Cooper re-connected the fans with the football club as we progressed up the pyramid at a fast rate. Only time will tell if I right or the ownership but if results and performances don’t pressure will mount on the ownership. It’s a big decision to sack a cherished manager whose reign has been a remarkable success story. It is not always about how much owners put into a club but also getting the key appointments right. We saw Nigel Doughty invest a lot of money but he got the key appointments wrong and his tenure is not remembered as a particularly succesful one. If Maranakis has got this wrong it could be the beginning of the end for this regime.

I'm very sad that it came to this but also relieved that it's over. I don't know if Cooper would have taken us further and I guess only time will tell but for what he has done, I am eternally grateful. I hope he goes on to become successful elsewhere. He brought pride and dignity back to this club.

Thanks Steve for everything you have done.

A lot of fans say results are the most important thing. They are but…..actually they aren’t. If all you want to do is watch a team win football matches go and watch Man City. We are Forest fans and have spent most of our lives watching us being distinctly average. But it hasn’t stopped us supporting the club or indeed enjoying the match day experience less.

Thats why what Cooper has brought us these last 2 seasons is so important. He gave us a feeling we haven’t had for over 25 years which was more than about winning a few games. Somehow we all felt we belonged to something bigger. Would we have felt the same way if by some miracle Hughton had got us promoted? I genuinely don’t think so, as so many have said Cooper bought into the club and its fans. I know many stories from those who have met him who said what a genuinely nice guy he is.

Is being a nice guy enough to keep him in a job? No absolutely not and he may well have come to the end of the road. But what he gave us is hard to replace and I wish him well.

I'm glad it's done, as it's eliminated the uncertainty, but like most people here, I will be forever grateful for the last two years and his achievements.

He will not be out of work long.

Let’s hope Nuno is an improvement.

All your posts are attacking our owner.

What sort of Forest fan does that? Constantly attacks the owner, a successful owner who has pumped in nigh on half a billion pounds.

I am sorry but I can come to no other conclusion that you are a closet sheep on a wind up.

I am also receiving private messages from other members complaining about your posts.

Why on earth does questioning the owner mean I support Derby county?

You said yourself - you support Forest, not Cooper. I support Forest not EM

This place is bizarre!!

I’m not anti-sacking cooper, I’m anti-scattergun.

I am giving you a chance to respond.

Pathetic.

I’m giving an alternative opinion. It’s obviously not allowed on here.

Sums up my thoughts. Thanks for everything Steve!

Gutted and it is now obvious this was inevitable. Steve’s goodbye is revealing in itself. I haven’t read Percy’s propaganda piece yet - it was always going to hurt but we will see now if cooper was indeed brilliant or indeed floundering. We are in massive danger of imploding if results don’t go well early. This next few months are absolutely huge - we could end up in real danger!
