I still think he’ll be going. The team selection today was very strange and his post-match interview comments were quite sensible, he can’t really say that he’s leaving without a club statement. I wonder if there’s any dialogue with Palace involved. I am really expecting Lopetegui to be in charge by next weekend but we’ll see. Some certainty either way would be nice

Let’s see what happens in next couple days, could it be that we want a Manager in as soon as Cooper Leaves or does he get the Tottenham game now

According to a Spuds supporting colleague. After a good start their fans aren’t impressed by Brennan’s inability to take players on and that he keeps passing the ball back to the fullback all the time rather than going at his man. Also lack of tracking back and drifting in and out of games, mainly out. I did point out that in games I’ve seen Spuds are playing him on the left which is not his natural side but apparently he’s been better on the left than when he’s been given chance on the right.

Still early days for Brennan at Spuds but wonder how he and his dad will feel if the Spuds fans do turn on him.

A bit tongue in cheek but there was plenty of criticism of Johnson last season, doesn’t work hard enough, doesn’t contribute enough, doesn’t look for a pass on the ball, poor quality crosses etc etc.

Not saying that’s what I think because we are clearly missing him and to be honest anyone who didn’t think we would miss him is deluding themselves but the above comments were frequently on social media and indeed on here.

When you go into a club with a price tag of £45m then its fair enough for the fans to think you're a bit decent. Sounds like they're seeing what he's got now and what he hasn't. The problem he has now is that he's not one of their own.
