An extension/ B side of my broken record with regards to excessive signings, change of system and lack of stability is that this will cause division behind the scenes. What I said about Worrall is true, they might sort it but it happened.

Steve Cooper is good with people but he isn't the Messiah. There's only so much instability that can be thrown his way.

I do however, think away games are better for us at minute. We play more defensive and there's less expectations. I desperately hope Cooper gets a go at Fulham and Wolves because I don't think this mess is his fault.

So how do you explain Steve's constant demand for new players every window?

So just to be clear I'm not all hail cooper, a change could be better now if supported with backroom staff ect.

I do have to agree with Marco Polo to an extent. There's no way Cooper has said in the summer give me 15 new players. I'm not arguing about the previous pre season for reasons we are all familiar with. If  you look at the amount of players that don't feature or barely feature it's obvious he isn't behind a lot of transfers. It's more likely the owner wanted to climb another 5 places this year and it's caused a massive squad inbalance and false expectations.

Our aim this year should have been slowly over the next two/ three seasons.

Same wins as this time last season and we've had 1 good home performance out of 7 or so games. Cooper will take the fall for that. Certain patterns such as sloppy passing, mistakes and poor attacking and defending set pieces. Even squad injuries. This all needs looking at.

Yes He agreed to join Real so the Spanish FA sacked him but I repeat HE agreed to join Real.

Yes he got sacked at Sevilla after 170 games, 3 years and a half and qualifying for the Champions League (twice) and winning the Europa League final. He was hardly a failure was he?

He is a massive upgrade on Cooper. Simple.

People saying Him and Marinakis will fall out are just wrong, Marinakis will back Lopetegui, that’s what Lopetegui wanted at Wolves

Plus Lopetegui is passionate on the touch line something Cooper doesn’t show.

Err..Coopers not gone or have I missed something. Appointing lopetegui at the moment is speculation and as for him falling out with EM.. well its a bit premature to suggest this when he's not even in post. Both things may not even happen.

I know Fulham lost but it is crazy what teams can do when they just go for it something we haven’t done all season. Cooper needs to free the players from the shackles to save himself and our season

He won't do that, it's not his style

Wolves were bottom because Bruno Lage did a poor job, simple. He tried to implement a new style and because of poor management, there was a toxic changing room. Also, they had quite a long injury list. With the talent they had, 13th (where they finished) was bare minimum.

Glad you finally admit he was sacked by Spain. You denied it previously in post #2000.

Never said he was a failure at Sevilla, just that he was sacked.

What about all the pressers during transfer windows where cooper actually says. We need more players.. were not done we need more. After 10 has already been signed?

Anyone who thinks that we didn't need to sign a ton of players after getting promoted need to give their heads a wobble.

Plus anyone who thinks that we can get our squad complete and perfected after just 3 windows need to give their heads a wobble.

It's still a work in progress.

On that we definitely agree.

Are people really scoffing at the thought of an ex manager of Spain, Real Madrid and Sevilla should our beloved Cooper go? Imagine that 2 years ago.

Yes I have heard Steve say that a few times.

Yup. I've deffo heard him say that too. He could be towing the line knowing what is happening behind the scenes, but we won't know that until he releases his book in 20 years haha.

You will never get me to change my mind on the summer window though. That needed to be the window of stability after the necessary chaos of the previous two.

I'm completely torn, I'd love Cooper to get a win this week, make it to January to oversee a few outgoings and bring in a striker. If he can make it to January he is probably good for the season. Do I think he'll make it? Probably not.

But a few posts ago you had a go at Steve for wanting to sign loads of players
