I believe the mid week game has saved Steve for now. We don't want to be preparing and going down to Fulham without a manager.

Sensible, but with the irons in the fire I presume we are now actively sounding out other managers, I was told lopetegui had agreed a contract with us should results not improve.

It's true we have spoken with him (allegedly) but I can't confirm whether or not something was agreed.

Heard other names too.

Hope we do have other irons in the fire.

It's happened before, can imagine if coops does go before Ireland will take control for a game like last time. We usually love a sacking on a Sunday,

Apparently Oliver Glasner is the leading candidate for when coops gets sacked. He's free and a mendes client, so talks probably already happening. Like when we appointed sabri 16 mins after a sacking

Potter has potential to be top drawer tbf.

The Chelsea circus aside his credentials are strong

Glasner is in the frame and his CV is impressive.

Think he has a 48% win rate which for the Bundesliga is very very good.

I would also like to say that I have been impressed with Lopetegui's attitude. When he left Wolves he could have easily gone back to Spain and put his feet up in the sun with his wine and cigar but he didn't. He has stayed in England to study the PL, to get to know the league and players better and he's also been having daily English lessons. That is a very good attitude and a good example to follow.

I've been told this morning that Palace will move on Cooper straight away if he leaves forest.Maybe with a slight handover period with Roy ect all on good terms.

He'll do well there because palace will never sign a new squad two years running and change system from a winning formula. Their fans are also just happy to be in the league.

I saw a comment further back during the night that we are lucky there and 3/4 very bad teams in the league and the next level of teams is tight quality wise.

Playing this new system without Taiwo we are one of the worst teams in the league. It's that complacency there. We are only where we are because of the wins early in the season when we were playing with stability.

I am not totally convinced just yet because there are others with a strong case too.

We should be using our premier league status to attract an absolutely top drawer coach, someone who is at the top level of their profession. And dont tell me clubs like ours cant attract these people. Money talks in the game and a lot of foreign coaches would jump at the chance of having a go at the prem and being rewarded accordingly.

Who would the English/British version of that be then Pap? Considering Sniff said from home and abroad?

Hes obviously alluding to Potter but i dont think he's in that category.

So it’s done then. Sounds like it’s a done deal to part ways with the language being used and that even a win on Wednesday won’t save SC

Steve's success was wing back based, he brought in Neco, Aina, Tavares etc to play this system, along with having 7-8 centre half's.

We shelled out big money on Sangare to play in a 2.

We don't have the depth for 4-3-3 and as much ad it's more attacking on paper it's not really proving that in games.

We are still awaiting the fat lady to take to the stage. Then the microphone etc needs to be set up before she starts to sing.

No doubt a win at Fulham and a point at Wolves or vice versa could see the show cancelled for now.

It's a massive massive week though that's for sure. Lets see where we are come 5pm on Saturday.

I’m absolutely gutted that they players didn’t pull their fingers out yesterday. They knew the manager was under pressure they should’ve been playing out of their skins. SC deserved better, can’t say I think very much of any of our players atm. Whoever does come I hope they realise they have a squad of spineless, headless, chickens!
