The atmosphere is what drove us on last year when we were the underdogs but it was lacking in the early season games when we all turned up expecting to win.
Thing is if we are established in the PL we can’t rely on being underdogs forever and need to generate our own enthusiasm. To be honest a lot of PL teams fans complain about this sort of thing when the realistic aim for the season is mid table its hard to get as motivated.
I dont think it’s unrealistic to look to beat all of these teams as long as we don’t start getting on the team’s back if its not so straightforward.
Yeah its the last bit I'm worried about as it's already happening.
Well failure to beat Burnley and Luton at home so surely it's fair game. Steve absolutely hammered the players after our loss at West Ham too so if Steve can do it then surely the fans can vent the odd frustration or two (that's all it was).
Absolutely spot on Sniff!!
Lets not shy away from the fact that most of the players in that side earn more in a week than the majority of fans earn in two years or more! Fans have every right to expect the team they pay hard earned money to go and watch week in, week out, to perform to the best of their ability.
If they cant do the basics right, then what are we paying them those types of wages for?

There was a behind closed doors match at City ground on Friday, against Huddersfield. No idea the score.
Felipe, Worrall and Yates played.

Good- get some minutes into squad players who will need them. We will need all of them over the coming weeks and hopefully we are well set with players coming back to fitness. Taiwo is the big worry but if we can get CHO, wood and Origi back and firing we will be better off in the long run. Also, many others are starting to feel the pinch with injuries - Newcastle and Brighton the latest to have been picked up by the media to feel sorry for! Don’t remember them caring about our injuries as much. I can also see West Ham and Villa having a fall off when the European minutes start really adding up.

Did any other of the first team lads get any minutes ?
CHO, Origi and Tavares could certainly have done with some, along with Worrall, Felipe and Yates

Just those three first team players. Most the squad that weren't on international duty had time off. Worrall asked to play in the game, I'm led to believe.

I personally think that 7 points should be a minimum realistic expectation from these next four. Although I admit that I am trying to raise the bar and get people believing a bit more.
7 looks generous now. Could well be as low as 1. But id hope Fulham and Wolves wont have the minerals to beat our low block away game.

Yep. Can't really afford to lose that game to be fair.
I don't like to use the term must win but I feels like it's an important fixture. Everton will be fired up for that.

I would snatch your hand off for 5 now.
