Stevie Cooper

We were poor today and Steve said so in his post match interview.

I will respect anyone on here who criticises if they can praise good things as well. Some just want him to fail.

Me?

You are turning this into a personal crusade against me?

Unbelievable.

I think SM is frustrated at posters like Florida Red and JWJW etc.

I have NEVER made a Steve out post or a hatred post about Steve Cooper.

If anybody doubts that then please put the link up and show us.

Correct. You did indeed make a well done Steve post after the Villa game.

The “you” didn’t meant you personally.

If he wants to reply to me then please do so. I have posted lots of positive posts about Forest EVEN when we have lost. This maybe the first time I have mentioned that Steve should go, I have though posted indifferent things about him.

Salv, if you put a poll up pretty much everyone, maybe 8 out of 10 would want Cooper to stay atm. I do, but we've got to accept he's only human and still a fairly rookie manager learning the job in the top league in the world amd as such will make mistakes. We can debate these things on here. My views on Cooper leaving are always made through the lens of what I think EM is thinking. Cooper may have had a stay of execution last season but I doubt EM's going to cut him similar slack this season if we trouble the bottom few places again.

If you have done so then fair enough. I get frustrated at the armchair warriors and critics when 29k people at the stadium back him unequivocally.

I accept you live thousands of miles away so thats a bit unfair but I assure you Steve has the backing of everyone at the ground and pretty well everyone want him to stay for the long haul. We won’t go down this season (I hope) so just cannot see why we wouldn’t give him the chance to improve with the rest of the side, the majority of which is still finding its feet.

Mine too Pap.

And with that in mind I will say that I now fear for Steve Cooper and I think he is in real trouble.

In fact I will go one step further and I think that the :hit the fan:

I disagree Sniff. It's too premature atm to boot him but he could be one more loss away from the boot if we dont get a win next week. And that game's tough.

if he sacks we will be in even deeper trouble. The chances of us finding an equally good manager are slim. Sacking good managers does not end well. we are on a poor run but in the main these are close defeats and the tide will turn.

Sadly I think Steve could be gone before Everton.

I am truly sorry and I take no pleasure in saying that.

(Again through the lens of what EM might be thinking) it may just come down to who's available as a replacement. For example, if Graham Potter lets it be know he's ready to return then EM could well jump early. Or another renowned manager from off these shores (who I will no doubt have never heard of).
