They made very very poor choices as replacements though. I mean Dean Smith and Nathan Jones, seriously?
Clubs who made good choices like Wolves and Villa improved leaps and bounds.

So Wolves have improved by leaps and bounds on their previous manager whom some think would be a good choice to replace Cooper? :fishing:

No, we were talking about last season SM, about teams who changed managers and went down and those who changed and stayed up.

He didn't have a full season for context, wolves were bottom when lopetegui took over for anyone interested in the full picture. They were bottom under Lage and had not won a game all season failing to score goals. Lopetegui took over in November taking 35 points from the games he managed in the prem with a 37% win rate. Not bad for a team that could not score a goal prior to his arrival I'd say.

I am talking about the position Wolves were in when Lopetegui took them over, Lage started last season and had them in the relegation zone along with us, remember?
Lopetegui then very comfortably kept them up with a few games to spare, remember?
He did a good job like Emery and Dyche did at Villa and Everton who also changed managers.
At the other end of the scale Leeds, Leicester and Southampton all went down with the likes of Allardyce, Smith and Jones in charge. No surprise there.
We were somewhere in the middle and we stuck with Steve and just stayed up so it proved a good decision in the end.

The lengths and extrapolations the small yet persistent minority will go to try to undermine Cooper is tiresome and quite ridiculous at times.
I try to expose the total lack of logic in these arguments but they just get twisted and thrown back so go ahead knock yourselves out, l give up. You lot are embarrassing and beyond help if you want to replace the best manager we have had in a generation.

I don't think any of them are saying they want Steve sacked..... just if it did happen, it might not actually be the end of the world and that there is a possibility that things could even be better?! Of course..... things could also go the other way. Don't act like other folk on here are completely belligerent, they just have their thoughts and opinions, just like you have consistently taken your position of being extremely pro Steve.

Exactly ^^
It's a Forest forum, Steve Cooper is the Forest manager and we are discussing him. Why is that a problem?
People who don't like it why don't you start a thread and give the forum something else to talk about?

Is this about Steve Cooper, most of this conversation is about the former Wolves manager who has been outperformed by a supposed lesser in O'Neil?

Agreed DMA. Is Steve Cooper not allowed to be compared with anyone else?
