Heard a whisper that Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui is expected to reach an agreement with the management of Al Ittihad very soon.

Thanks! Give him a 10 year contract there!

As per the discussion with R73 above Im not totally blinkered and I do think there are better managers out there. The difficulty is always getting them to fit with the club which is why I prefer to keep Steve who does fit even if he is still learning and making a few mistakes.

Is the rumour about a meeting between evangelos and cooper this week true?

You can throw a blanket over Forest, Palace, Brentford, Wolves, Everton, Fulham and Bournemouth this season in terms of quality.

If we finish above 50% of those and obvs the current bottom 3, then par for me is prob 14th or above (11th the absolute ceiling).

It’s the 3rd season where success will be finishing at the top of those clubs and then trying to catch the likes of Brighton and West Ham.

It took Villa 4 seasons to attain top 8 and European football.

I think EM will want close to mid table this season, and then top 10 next season.

I think in Murillo, Danilo, Sangare, Mangala, Domingues, MGW, Taiwo, CHO, Elannga, you have a nucleus of players under 25 all with the potential of being top 8 players.

Got to stick with Cooper, We have played 2 decent games since the Liverpool game, just a shame it’s only 3pts from them 2 games and not 4 or 6pts, We have 4 home games from next 6 before Christmas so hopefully gain at least 10pts from them 6 games to be in a good position

The odds of him next to be sacked have dropped from 30/1 to 16/1 albeit that's after the West Ham defeat. Still 5 or so in front of him in the premier league sack race.

Absolute joke we’re even discussing him going

Pathetic and grow up every single one of you

Every time we get beat its the same old same old - Steve is getting sacked, who is the next manager?

Every time we win its the same Steve is off to be the next England Manager.

As long as we show significant progress year on year I'm happy.

Nobody is discussing him going apart from you.

This is the Steve Cooper thread and we are talking about our manager.
