Not at all. Just pointing out subs weren't responsible for the equally crucial 1st goal that gave a team that had been fairly sh1t hope of getting something.
The 2nd goal is on Worrsll and Aina - both subs so of course he will cop some grief.
It's another reason to hate international breaks.....
You’re just reinforcing my point.

That argument falls down because Villa replaced a crap manger in Gerrard with a decent one who turned out to be better than everyone expected. It wasn’t really much of a gamble though.
We have a decent manager in Cooper and one who is still learning in only his 4th season in senior football. In every one of those 4 seasons he has achieved a step better than the one before.
It seems to me to be a very very big and unnecessary gamble to ditch him because he hasnt wone for a few games (hasn’t lost either btw) and he made some substitutions we didn’t agree with.
You may have forgotten that it took us 22 years to finally find a good manager that fits us.
For what it's worth I have no interest in seeing Cooper leave I was just giving a different narrative and playing devil's advocate. In his first season Gerrard was really rated at villa, his second didn't go so well.
Marinakis will however get rid of cooper if he feels he has an upgrade lined up.
Yeah, I get your point, personally I think our squad situation is a lot more similar to where Bournemouth are at compared to where Villa were at when they changed manager.
From a cold and rational perspective, I don't believe our squad right now is good enough to make the leap, that could be provided by an Emery or De Zerbi style. I think we have relied heavily on Cooper's man management skills and ability to keep the fans engaged to get where we are more so than a style. Maybe there will come a time in the future when we have a good enough team that a more tactically astute manager could come in and take us up a level but that isn't right now. Obviously, in that scenario, the odds of hitting on that unicorn Emery type is not high and most likely you will get worse as they struggle to adapt to the league or realise that their top striker is Chris Wood.

Wrongly or rightly if we lose our next 2 games then Steve is in big trouble, it's the nature of the beast.
There are a whole handful of managers currently available who EM really likes.
One Brazilian, one Argentinian, one Spaniard, one Portuguese and one Englishman.

When you look at it like that it don't look good. I personally don't want him sacked though.
