Injuries And Suspensions

Whilst our 25 man squad may indeed look stronger than last season you cannot persuade me that the above 11 is better than we had available last season, Reckon most would agree it is significantly weaker than the team that finished the season. I doubt more than 3 of the above would get in what most regard as the strongest team we can put out.

The team  against Liverpool was
Henderson
Williams(Lodi), McKenna, Cook, Aurier
Kouyate(Mangala), Freuler, Yates
Lingard(Johnson), Awoniyi (Worrall), Gibbs-White

No PL team can have their strongest team playing all season.
I believe the squad is better than last season, and just like last season we will get better as a team and get better results as the season progresses.

Cooper saying none of the injured players expected back for Liverpool and Elanga doubtful due to illness.

So we literally have Wood and MGW available in terms of attackers. Rough

We weren’t this hard up on forward options at the worst of last year’s injury crisis. At least we had Ayew on the bench. Wood really isn’t a 99min player but literally no choice.

We'll be fine we've got a much better squad this year I've heard...

Maybe this is Santos time to shine!

Is Osong injured. If not could he make the squad.

Santos is a DCM, not sure why people think he is a forward option.

Seriously wonder if Murillo could play up top though? The Brazilian Greg Halford if you will.

Fantastic shout, love Greg Halford.

Didn't Santos play in attacking midfield in his one appearance for us?

We're better in some positions but when Wood and MGW are the only fit attackers in the squad it's hard to think we're better in attack.

Like everyone else we can only name 25 players and like everyone else we have to deal with injuries.
