Last years winners and regularly (according to those on Twitter) have at least one player per year that moves into the first team no problem.

The comps in its 9th year and if we want our youth to take the next step up then these are the things we need to keep providing for them

Dale Taylor, Fin Back, Oliver Hammond, Jamie McDonnell, Aaron Donnelley, Brendon Aguilera would all be in our strongest U21 side.

We’ve slowly been giving our academy team better opposition and it’s them that need the time, firstly it was other cat 1 academy products then it’s the chance to compete against mud and nettles league two senior teams and now it’s against competitively against some of the better European youth teams.

I’ll be very interested to see what happens to some of the lads next summer

I’m guessing we won’t have a match day thread for tomorrow’s game against Carlisle.

I’m going, anyone else planning to?

You must be bloody mad User going that far for a U21 game.
Brunton Park is a fine stadium though, Carlisle is a decent town and stop in the Lake District on your way can’t go wrong.

106 away fans to be precise.

Two great goals so far.

Our players are far superior technically, nine of them look so comfortable on the ball.

Lovely finish from Powell for the first and the second is a great team goal. Well worth checking them out if you can
