Stevie Cooper
That saying about being being nice to people on the way up, applies to Mr Cooper from what I understand.

What does that mean?

Again interesting comment from Cooper pre-match, talking about Arsenals's 'joined up thinking' and getting their transfer work done early.

Definitely a little subtext isn't there

Feel really pleased for the guy now. With the fixture schedule we have he could have been under massive pressure by now had we not got the wins we have. And performances have been excellent too (bar Burnley) so I hope he's now got credit in the bank when/if we have a poor run. The players seem completely committed to the cause. Listening to our fans yesterday on the tv singing the players home made me intensely proud of them and the players. And Cooper was classy to after the game. I just feel incredibly proud atm. I hardly dare say it but it feels like we're becoming established in this league now.

My thoughts exactly! He must be very much in a lot of credit.

Mail reporting that Southgate is off after the Euros. If we have a half decent season this year Id imagine Cooper will be talked about as a replacement. He might not be the media's favourite but the FA will know he's a talented guy.

I reckon Potter is the obvious replacement though if he wants it.

Yep, free agent. Maybe he's waiting for the job.

Don’t think our Steve hits the profile yet for England. I do have a slight concern if/when Page gets the boot from Wales though which could be as soon as this weekend.

I think status as a Premier League manager is probably higher than being Wales manager and Im sure he will be paid more here. Just depends if that’s his ambition.

The FA know him though Salv and he delivered a world cup win for the country. They wont have forgotten that.

I would imagine they would promote Carsley.

Papers reckon they'll try and approach Pep, though I'm not sure he'd want that job.
