I want to say thank you to @NFFC & their amazing fans for all that they have done for me during my time at the club. A big thank you goes to the academy staff, in particular Jack Lester & Gary Brazil, without them my journey may not have been possible.

19. Plenty of time to develop into a decent Championship striker.

Meanwhile, credit to Cash and Os' who have graduated from the Academy with flying colours. They keep their head down and work hard even when they're not in the team. Both have recently contributed goals after spells not in the team.

I suppose when we get promoted to the Premiership we'll be able to fish for even better youth prospects for our Academy. But as it is, I think the Academy has done it's job impeccably over the years.

Fair play to Ben for saying that. I wish him well in the future.

Pity we didn't bring Jack back.

But Gary's spear heading of the Academy has been commendable.  It's good to see Ben recognise it's heritage here.

I still think it's a shame things didn't work out better for him with us. I think he's a far better player than he's shown at Blackburn so far - Arsenal in the FA Cup showed what he's really capable of. Still, all done and dusted now so I hope we can use the money wisely.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him get off the mark tonight in the cup ( again ) against Newcastle.

Was trying to give him benefit of the doubt - but he was poor ( again ).

Didn't look good at all tonight and he would maybe have scored that miss during his breakthrough with us.

Can’t remember if this is correct but tonight talk sport, whilst commenting on the game, stated that he scored 18 time in 39 appearances last season. Surely that is way off the mark

6 goals in 39 appearances (so including subs) last year.

He'll do alright given a few more years IMO, but he's only a kid at the mo
