Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho
I can’t believe how much stick Benny Osborn continues to suffer from his own fans...

Just opinions TPL we all have them, I find it amazing how we can all watch the same players week in week out and have totally views on how we feel they play.

If it wasnt for oz we would have probably lost at the wkend. He also had a good start to the season, until we had injuries and suspensions. Never understand why we berate our own, shame if he leaves as he is a good squad player. Sadly thats all he will be.

People keep trotting out the line that he (Osborn) is a good squad player but over the last few seasons he has played in the majority of our games.

Everybody is a squad player, no more no less.

If someone doesn’t rate a player I really see what the problem is. Doesn’t mean they’re giving them stick they just don’t rate them. I don’t rate Osborn one bit and never have done. It’s all about different opinions, it would be one boring world if we all agreed.
I’d personally like to see Dias given more of a run in the team, others would like him sent back to his parent club and that’s fair enough.

I totally agree with you on that point. Opinions differ but the question is if it really should differ. If you disregard any non-footballing reasons like looks, hairstyle, tattoos etc. and just try to evaluate the player purely based on footballing reasons it shouldn't be that big of a gap in opinions. My theory is that most football fans don't really understand roles and responsibilities of the different team formations and are not trained enough to be able to do a proper analysis of a game. For example. most fans tend to just follow the ball and don't really see what's happening off the ball.

The Osborn haters will probably argue that he was the worst player on the pitch against Leeds and that his goal was just pure luck  :D

That’s the thing- heard loads of critism for lolley - off the boil etc... but whilst clearly injured he worked his arse off defensively v Leeds. Also in recent games he has stopped numerous attacks with his covering and a certain goal v Norwich.

Regardless of how hard he worked we were shredded down that side of the pitch v Leeds so he definitely deserves criticism there.

Wow GB I do find that post a touch patronising. Whoever bases their thoughts on a player by their looks? Where has that come from.
The majority of fans I know base their thoughts on the whole game not just ball watching.
I know of no Forest Fans who 'hate' a player they might not rate them but 'hate' is a very harsh word to use. I certainly would never say I hated anyone in a Red Shirt.

Not so sure about that but everybody is entitled to their own opinions.
