Yeah, what are Brentford doing?! Surely this is going to tank his value next summer if Arsenal don't take up the option.

Isn’t it to limit the sell-on fee they have to pay?

Ah ok that would also make more sense, cheers. Still less good for them if he barely plays and Arsenal don't keep him. Sets a helpful benchmark for Hendo though if we are still trying for that. This guy was better and not injured so we would expect to pay a lot less!

That said both Aarons and Scott look like they could be the real deal. They only need a couple to come off and sell on for big money and the system works. The challenge is for them to stay up this season.

Two great signings in Aarons and Scott.

I wanted Aarons last season when we signed Neco.

Yeah pretty jealous of Bournemouth's window, they must be right on the FFP line now surely. Spent 80m last year and already 70m before these deals. A good year to go young though with the Sheff Utd, Luton in the league plus Wolves and Everton's financial struggles (and our own struggles!)

Southampton have shown that the right players can retain their value no matter how poor they were in a relegation season.

Clearly there are some players that would never fall into this category, ie Che Adams, Jonjo Shelvey to name two

Spurs still dicking around regarding Kane - he won't fly out until Bayern tell him everything is done.

Caicedo turning down Liverpool as he only wants to move to Chelsea.

Now Liverpool have shown how much money they're prepared to throw around, Southampton should up their asking price for Romeo Lavia.

It took us 5 games before we were tonked by 3+ goals last season, unsurprisingly that was also City

Let’s hope it’s no more then 2 goals tomorrow!

Rude awakening for Burnley tonight. Their high-pressing might work against some teams in the league but Man City are the masters of it and it showed. Also I'd be very nervous watching the way they tried to play out from the back. Nearly got caught out on more than one occasion.

Think last night shown actually Burnley will survive if they can keep that style going. Good on the ball and excellent transition play, pass the ball round nicely with lots of movement. Can see a lot of teams struggling to deal with them early on and I expect them to get points on the board early and quickly before teams work them out.

Brighton dicked Luton, Everton and Sheffield United lost at home and Bournemouth only drew. I'll take that for starters.

Everton have 2 big games coming up. Less that 4pts and they're in trouble this season imo

Well could have been worse this opening weekend. Could be Aston villa and playing Newcastle

I did not expect that
