Suggests they have their own finances in good shape, they probably only need one sale at most tbf.

I bet they aren’t there at the end of the window !
No different to us slapping a big price on Brennan

Bournemouth signing highly-rated midfielder Alex Scott from Bristol City.

They must be close to the line on FFP surely. They've spent loads and I can't think of any sales they've made.

Plus they can't be making much from sponsorship/stadium.

They spent around £70m last season and just over £60m so far this season.

The key difference is all their signings have been younger, none over 25 years old, mostly on long deals so fees amortised and younger lesser known equals lower wages. They are fine.

But if you suggest that way of doing things on here you get laughed at, sarcastic comments about them employing Parker/ONeill and Forest fans don’t have the patience for it apparently.

I'm not convinced Forest fans do have the patience based on the general comments I've read on here.

Aside from the Shelvey deal though (and the bizarre Hwang/Bowler deals which 100% deserve questioning) the rest of the signings were generally in that younger mould.

Aside from Wood (who I'm sure other prem teams would take if made available for nothing), I think the rest have been small fees or free and have added decent value although probably on astronomical wages.

Also, it's a lot easier to only buy younger player when you already have a strong core in place. You are always going to need some older/more experienced players too. Hopefully going forward we can follow this model even closer.

West Ham with £100m floating around in their current account are the only PL club yet to make a single signing so far.

Just to put things in perspective if we think we are having a tough time.

I'm pretty sure they have a proper left back and a half decent goalkeeper so I would say they're in a better position than us.

Some good news for us at least - Gabriel Jesus will miss the first few weeks of the season.

I fear they'll still be a few goals put in against us.

This first month is going to be pretty brutal isn't it. The Sheffield United game is going to be such a big game already.

Once window closes hopefully the team will look a bit healthier and we'll have more normal fixtures.

Just going to be a bumpy early ride. On the plus side, when we do take some early defeats due to the fixtures at least the knives are going to be out for the recruitment team rather than Cooper. Maybe this was the plan to accommodate these horror early fixtures.
