Good minutes into legs. Panzo looked out best CB, Scarpa and Elanga very bright. Scarpa needs to be involved more, would prefer him as a Cm over remo, young Brandon should be kept, looks our best player at times, still the same negative football sadly. It's not going to change in 2 weeks as well, but it gets the odd result, hopefully it gets more this season

Worrall had a nightmare 20 mins but far more concerned with the standard of performance than individual mistakes.

Half of tonight's squad have no business being in a PL squad frankly. We need much more quality in central midfield & another striker on top of the obvious priorities (GK, LB).

Incredibly risky to sell Johno as well, considering our only plan of attack is to break on teams quickly.

That had me worried tonight. Scarpa, Boly and elanga aside we were very poor. Pre season but we were crap.

We did look very poor. The only bright spark for me tonight was the Costa Rican. He has got quality and looks strong. That was the worst I have seen Mangala play. We need two keepers , left back, centre back, centre mid and a striker.

We’ve needed that all summer, and I’ve no doubt we will get them.

I wonder what SC thinks after a game like that, is it a mental thing? I didn’t see the game but a lot of mention of playing side to side then backwards. Where’s the forward attacking mentality? These players can do it! Freuler plays higher up the pitch for his country and provides assists and (some) goals mangala has been a baller and we know yates can play it forward.

Im not making excuses here but dont forget Leeds started their pre-season a couple of weeks before we did and it wasnt that long ago they were a PL side, so cut the lads a bit of slack FFS.

We were short of Aina, MGW, Niakhate, a first choice GK and Johnson to name just a few. Wood has been out for months so has got to get back up to speed, as does Williams.
