Our Goalkeepers
Didn't stay we should give up and we haven't given up but how long do we wait? The player's are back in 12 days and ideally you would like to have your goalkeeper in place for pre-season.

TeamTalk reckons Everton will agree to sell Pickford to Man U - that might speed things along a bit if true.

We went years without a left back so I'm sure we can wait a bit longer for a keeper

In all seriousness I'd to think we'll see see some movement there end shortly as they need a keeper as much as we do.

Seriously how long do we wait?

I think we need to give a deadline to Man Utd.

They f****d us around last season with Garner and we ended up missing out!

I seriously dont see what the hold up is. Hendo has already said he doesnt want to go back. He has burnt his bridges with them. Why are they still trying to decide if they want to keep a player that has spoken out against them, doesnt want to be there and will no doubt be a disruptive influence in the changing room if they decide not to sell?

w**k**s!

Wouldn’t surprise me if Hendo changes his mind, especially if Ten Haag is saying he still has a future at United.

Houses can be sold as easily as purchased so I wouldn’t put much stock in the rumour that he has purchased a house here

Unlikely.

"As for the incumbent 'keepers, this week has to be David de Gea's last full week on the United payroll. Sources suggest Dean Henderson has "p----d off" Ten Hag and there is next to no indication he is under consideration for a promotion to No.1 after an uneasy couple of years with his parent club."

I think the problem now is the fee.

The two clubs appear to be quiet far apart on that from what I can gather.

Utd are desperate for cash cos they want to sign a marquee striker AND a replacement keeper

Looks like we have started putting bids in for other goalkeepers now.

Given they clearly don't want Henderson and its been made clear they have no intention of playing him it makes sense for us to haggle for a low fee.
I presume we'll still get him eventually but it makes sense for us to look elsewhere. We arguably need two keepers anyway.

This has parallels to Gibbs White last season. Rumoured for ages and player completely invested but took an age to conclude. I expect it will get done eventually. If Hendo has burned his bridges at the Utd end it gives us more power to knock down the fee but it might be a waiting game. Having our name linked with other keepers is probably a tactic to pressurise Utd but is also common sense. We need a number one keeper and there is always the chance Henderson get snaffled by a 'bigger' club but I think we'll get him in the end.

There is still the possibility United may decide not to sell him at all!!!

Apart from vindictiveness towards him for his comments at the start of the season, there seems to be no point in doing that, but it is still a distinct possibility

TBF Sniff, Ten Hag will at least want to talk to him at some point, possibly not until Man Utd return for pre-season. We don't know if they have had a conversation yet or not. I doubt Eric will run on just media reports about a player.

Plus, what alternatives would you recommend mate?

Dominik Livakovic would be a very good choice in my opinion.
