He was in the pitch at the end. There’s a video of him hugging Cooper.

(Can’t wait to see footage of him at todays match) Serge to sign on again?Think Dennis, Toffolo/Richards, Ayew, Lingard, Freuler and Shelvey will all move on. He was there walking around with Henderson. Didn't seem as excited to be there as everybody else mind you.....

That's probably because he is a bit of a nob. I would hope we could get rid of him over the summer but not sure who would take him.

We take that Foden has a burning desire to play for Cooper, MGW is telling him how great Forest is and Man City owe us one for beating Arsenal. Foden is ours, for free.

So Murphy and Syrianos recruitment didn’t turn out to be that bad after all. In the team which got us over the line and excelled were Niakhate Mangala and Taiwo. Compare with January when we brought in Shelvey and Wood. Not every Syrianos transfer has worked out but it looks to have been a much more nuanced approach than what came later.

To be fair in January we also signed Danilo, Felipe and Navas - all of whom played their parts in us staying up to some degree.

I said previously, I don’t understand why the axe was swung in the way it was….
Unless it was the players we missed out on that annoyed EM (and the reasons behind the scenes why our attempts were unsuccessful).

I suppose it was the timing.
At the time Syrianos was removed Taiwo was looking like Justin Fashanau. Mangala was struggling and not getting much game time and Niakhate was injured and out for a very long time. Chuck in Richards too who was signed by our head of recruitment and you can see why it happened AT THE TIME. Fast forward a few months and it looks a different story now apart from Richards but like I said at the time all the above players were struggling, we were bottom of the league and getting spanked most weeks. I can see why it happened.
