I cant see Luton's game being successful in the prem. They may get the odd shock win but most teams will be able to deal with the direct game they play.

Cov have potential to be good. Apart from their troubles over the last 10 years or so, their natural place in the football hierarchy is in or close to the top division.

Still owned by dodgy owners Sisu though. They'll take the parachute payments and come straight back down

They only own 15% of the club these days.

If they went up I'd be doing my best to buy the ground from Mike Ashley.

Just 2 relegation places remaining for next season then.

To be fair every other teams fans said the exact same thing when we were promoted.

Coventry are 100% owned by Doug King a local businessman. Sisu have no involvement left.

He is certainly very wealthy but doubt he is Premier League level wealthy.

And we needed a massive cash and player injection to compete at the bottom end. I don't think either of those two teams can do that. Mind you i wasn't expecting as much into our club as was provided. 

Think teams like Luton and Sheff Utd who are about kicking the other team into the air, cheat as much as you can to get a win will take a few points at the start but after a while just won't be able to keep competing with those that try to move the ball about.

Watching the game last night just showed emphasised to me the gulf between the two leagues. The pace of play is so much slower, I really didn't appreciate it before. You can see how slower defenders would be completely fine in the championship and likewise how a bit of pace will take you far (unless your name is Diakhaby).

Good for them I agree and hopefully they get something sorted long term for their ground, soulless bowl off the ring road that it is.

There is a wider point about whether even Premier League money is enough these days. Cov ( or Luton) like us will have to buy a whole new team, many of their current best players are loans, no surprises there.
We have seen this year that Marinakis has already spent our entire 3 year earnings and that may or may not be enough to squeak survival. To establish in the PL any club needs owners with very deep pockets who are willing to invest for the long term.
