Having said that and previous posts I hope SC and the team go out and smash it today then go on to win the next 3 games and retain PL status, if only!!!!!!!

Don't buy that at all. Belgian Kompany and Portuguese Silva walked the Championship over the last two seasons.

In fact, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but Sean Dyche with Burnley in 2015/16 was the last English coach to win the Championship.

Those guys have experience of the UK though, Kompany as a long term player and Silva as a manager. I think when it's a guy coming with no experience of UK football that it's harder. Not impossible to succeed still of course, just harder.

Just a quick question if you asked 100 forest fans if they would have wanted Ayew and Woods in January
how many would have said yes ?
definetly not me although I would of taken Shelvey at the time

Wassy I am glad we agree on something! The point made by SR is valid but if/when we get relegated SC would seem like the type of manager we would need to get straight back to the PL. Rid ourselves of some of the baggage we have collected this season, purchase some young and hungry UK based talent to supplement the retained element of the squad and return to the top table in better shape then this season.

In all fairness, Sabri didn't do too bad a job at almost succeeding did he? He only fell at the end of the season when the team decided to bottle it!! Lets not forget, Sabri was a virtual unknown to most in this country!!!

Farke (Norwich)
Wagner (Huddersfield)
Bielsa (Leeds)
Nuno Espirito Santo (Wolves)
Karanka (Boro)
Slavisa Jokanovic (Watford)

They are just the ones who come to mind straight away.

Karanka/Jokanovic had played in the UK though. Nuno inherited a team that basically bought the league, the other obviously did well.

Now get the list of every single one that has failed. It will be a lot longer.

Top choice for me if we are back in the Championship next season would be SC. Nobody else would make sense and I believe that SC would want to give something back to the fans who have backed him over the last 18 months or so, great motivation!

That is logical as only 3 teams can get promoted.

And who the hell did Aitor Karanka play for in the UK?
