That decision will cost Cooper and if he should keep his job here any credibility to bringing in players in the summer transfer window
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but could this be a briefing from the club in case Cooper is sacked? Despite the statement from the club about backing Cooper, I still think we might see a change in manager before the end of the season (depending on how results pan out).

SC is a Deadman walking, lose tomorrow and a new guy will be in place sooner then later to assess the squad to enable a top end challenge in the Championship next season, that's how I read it?

Do we think it would be Hassenhutl or Gerrard in all likelihood? The Sampaoli links were exciting (though probably very inaccurate). I suppose it depends on which league we’re likely to be in

If it’s the premier league it will be Cooper

I'm not so sure now. I reckon whoever comes in now will have opportunity next season. They'll get a free hit to keep us up. This Ross Wilson appointment has me thinking plans are underway.

My thoughts entirely. I really hope it’s an upgrade on Cooper if so, though who knows what that might look like. I think Cooper’s had a rough deal with recruitment, but he has also underperformed and struggled to get results from in-game situations

Is Gerrard an upgrade on Cooper?
That plans are underway I am sure you are correct.
Who are we going to blame when we still go down by the way?

We lose tomorrow and it's another nail in the coffin for Cooper.

It is what it is. I'm frustrated, and a bit upset about it but we go again. Who's to blame, think its a collective, and yes Cooper is not blameless.
I personally don't want Gerrard. Will I support him if it is indeed him, of course.
I'd sooner have the fella who was at Southampton with Wilson if it was a choice between the two.

Everyone is in some part to blame if we go down. Just as everyone was in some part deserving of praise for us getting promoted.

And you, who's to blame if we're blaming?
