The Premier League 2022/23
Good observation. Where we are struggling is picking up more points from those around us.....Even 4 draws against those 4 would have had us 2 points clear.

Just took this off a comments section on a Wolves site about Podence. Usual debate was going on about how he is filthy and others defending him. (For record, if it were a Forest player I vould not and would not defend that)

Love to be a fly on the wall at the hearing.

"So Mr Podence, the video evidence clearly shows a spitting action towards an opponent."
Podence defence team "Ah yes, we see that but cameras do not pick up any liquid on the footage, so therefore my client wishes all charges to be dismissed".
FA "Well, we'd like to ask Mr Podence exactly what he was doing then? Why would anyone simulate spitting-possibly the most disgusting thing you can do on a football pitch?"

Podence: "Um..well...Its an old tradition in the village I was brought up in, we pretend to spit when we are angry".
FA: Oh I see. Can you explain the photograph we have here from a long lens that appears to show a small amount of liquid in the air between you and opposition players?"
Defence team: "This can not be used as it could have been doctored to make poor little Wolves look bad. The previous -alledged-  poor conduct of manager and players is being used as a stick to beat us with. If it were not for VAR, refs and the FA we put to you Wolves would be top 6 at least, top scorers and top of fair play league. In fact the defence team wish to make a counter claim against the rest of the World for unfairly making Wolves look crap, lacking class and a club refusing to take responsibility for any of their actions or short comings."
FA: "Oh well then, as you put it like that, we would like to apologise to Mr Podence and as an apology, allow an emergency loan of Johnson to Wolves so as his way of apology he can keep you up".
Defence: ,"But we already have Traore on right.
FA: (after 5 minutes of being unable to talk through hysterically laughing) OK will MBappe do?
Defence: "But but but what if he gets booked for supposedly diving."
FA: "Easy. Just blame VAR/refs or FA conspiracy and get one of your players to pretend to gob on him".
Case closed.

Omg. They are desperate. He'd be my last choice.

I see Princes William and George couldn't resist having one last look at the Trickies before we get relegated. Bless 'em.

The thing that's making me angry is that there are quite a number of shit fighting the drop but us and Southampton have saved these clubs bacon. It's now just down to 1 spot fighting survival.

We've got 4 more points than Southampton so not exactly fair.

Also, last season Norwich had 17 at this point, that's what a proper capitulation looks like.

I'd actually argue that Forest etc have put these clubs that were expecting to finish top 10 under loads of pressure and one of them (Leicester) appears to be going down.
