He couldn't win really because when we had the purple patch after the Leicester game things were looking brighter.

Had he gone after that game the story might have been different but he played a blinder at the time.

I feel this last ditch attempt at rallying the troops with the Statement has had no effect.

He now needs to decide whether to stick till end of season or start planning ahead which is going to be hard as our ability to attract the suitable man might not be available until the summer.

Yes we are going down, also yes we've had a rubbish run of injuries and yes we have the worst team in the league because we only had two starters to come up with one of which has been injured since Jan.

Theres no point sacking the incumbent manger unless they're either out of their depth (Gerrard, Lampard) or creating a toxic atmosphere (Conte, Rogers). And the manger should only be sacked if there's a proven, quality replacement available (ie not Marsch). None of those apply to us. I did think there was an opportunity for us to take Dyche earlier in the season but that ship's long sailed now. Its a pragmatic viewpoint from me when I say we should stick with Cooper.

Because I thought he could turn it around wassy, really could, thought the statement would be a rebirth and we would come out flying. But yet it's the same rubbish. Taking off our best performers for the likes of ayew. Howay pal, that's bad management, always admire your sensible posts, but come on, why are you so pro cooper for.. do you not get pissed off in the slightest with how he's been, with tactics, games, substitutions even been apart of recruitment what lead to woods and ayew?

Yeah I see your point sorry, you're fine to criticise and still want him to stay to be fair. It's difficult though as there just a lot of people saying manager out whenever we lose regardless of circumstances. I find the balanced negative viewpoint difficult to separate from just the standard manager out whenever we lose. 

It might get lost as I'm usually just trying to defend Cooper but I'm happy to criticise. I loved the change of tactics today, I didn't like changing formation during the game, thought it was going OK at that point. Was disappointed to see Shelvey start ahead of Mangala, not sure why he's not getting much gametime. Ayew didn't make much sense today although has done ok (ish) previously. I do wish he'd play less in general though! 

Only so much you can do with the brutal injuries we've had combined with not having a great team in the first place. I feel like that gets lost when people are so negative.

Is Coops the best manager to get us promoted? That is the question now. I don’t think a combination of the best bits of Alec Ferguson, fat Sam and Cloughie would be enough to keep us up. I know we spent a lot but the squad is bottom three quality. Cooper has to take some responsibility for that.

The cynic in me wonders whether SC is still in a job as the deadline for renewing season tickets has not yet passed? For what it's worth, i don't know who would take the job now anyway.
