Only Cooper could keep MGW and Brennan here for a season in the Championship and pursuade them to fire us back up .
We have the squad too piss the league and would be hopeful we got rid of the older pros who have not really helped . Shelvey , remo , Wood , Boly ,Ayew , Serge , Kouyate and Jesse .
Would need to sign a GK thats about it as both Navas and Hendo would return to their clubs .
Every player including ones out on loan are top end Chamionship players .
Perhaps we can loan some of the players to Oly for a season (Niakhate/Fielipe/Scarpa) , we always have that option to fall back on .
Build around youth . Midfielder of yates ,mangala ,danilo and front 3 of Tiawo ,MGW and Brennan walks the Championship .
I'm not trying to be arsey, but it will probably come across as such. Have you seriously forgotten how difficult the Championship is?!? It is a ridiculous league!
Also, MGW and Brennan.....I very much doubt they would stick around even with Coops. I also think Yates will get some serious offers that we wouldn't' be able to turn down. Mangala will be gone as will Freuler and probably Awoniyi. Felipe will also be gone, probably Niakate.
We would probably be able to keep the less good youngsters and the old gits. We will definitely be stuck with Shelvey, Wood, Ayew without doubt, nobody will take them off our hands.
I do, however, like the idea of loaning out to Oly for players that don't want to be around in the Champ but are young enough to offer us something in the Prem if we make it back up.

Out all the players who’ve been bought in how many would people like to see us keep if we stay up? 5/ maybe 6 out of 30? That also speaks volumes

I'm not sure all of those would go. Johnson I think yes. MGW would be interesting as he clearly wanted to play for Cooper. Yates I think would stay. The signings from overseas could go either way. Berge was arguably Sheffield United's biggest ever signing and he's stuck with them. Flip-side of course is the likes of Dennis. I wouldn't just assume that *all* of Awoniyi, Niakhate, Mangala etc. would bugger off though.

The Championship is miles ahead of the Greek League.
Greek football is a brothel. I don't have much respect for anyone who wants to play there.

Keep (if we can):
MGW
Awoniyi
Niakhate
Mangala
Danilo
Aurier
Williams
O'Brien
Toffolo
Boly
Felipe
Freuler
Richards
Kouyate
Dennis (I think he's better than we've seen so far)
Hennessey (as backup)
Won't stay:
Henderson
Navas
Lingard
Lodi
Undecided:
Wood
Shelvey
Scarpa
Bowler
Aguilera
Biancone
Can go:
Ayew
Hwang

I think apart from Lingard and Hwang I would try to keep them all.
Obviously the loan player's will go back and I wouldn't keep the player's we currently have out on loan (I don't mean the young lads).

Yeah but you're also forgetting how easy the teams with parachute payments found it, that's why it was so hard!
They come down with their stacked teams, sell one or two for 30m-40m. Bring in one or two that no-one else could afford and still make a profit on transfers.
The odds are massively stacked in your favour if you're in our position. Particularly as we have invested in younger players too.

Yes we will need some upgrades if we stay up.
Would be some interesting choices.
New RB or stick with Aurier, go after Spence? (applies to both leagues as Spurs have Porro now) Lodi to stay? Are we going back to wingbacks in which case targetting upgrades would be necessary? Do we need another CB in that case?
In midfield, are we confident that Mangala, Danilo and Yates are good enough to develop or do we look to strengthen there. Seems to have been a weakness for us all year really.
In attack, can we keep Jonno even if we stay up. Is Taiwo good enough or do we need to upgrade? Obviously need another wide player.
Need a new keeper too.
Assuming we don't go back to wingbacks:
Keeper
RB
LB
CM
LW
Striker
Would that be enough to get to midtable?
