Personally I think Cooper should be taking a look at himself, every club knows how to set up and play against us, they have worked out how Cooper sets his team out and we are predictable.
Cooper has become far too defensive and sets his team up to sit back and soak up the oppositions attacking threat in the hope that we can nullify them and either nick a point or three, it's not working, and only Cooper can address this, it's obvious to all that Cooper has his preferred player's and sadly they are the one's that are letting him and us down.
Cooper needs to stop picking Wood, Lingard etc, they are proving to be useless, we have no creativity in midfield and for what ever reason he is not willing to give Surridge a chance, nor Scarpa or Danilo, I'm sorry but it's obvious that our midfield is letting us down, he needs to address this, playing Frueler, Mangala,Yates, Shelvey, Colback in any order is not working, they are all to similar, we need something different, someone who can get up the pitch and support the attacking threat that we have, as it is we are powder puff and the opposition know this.
So Cooper needs to swallow his stubborn pride and prejudice and change thing's on the pitch, or if he doesn't we are going down, I was at the game yesterday and the first half was some of the worst football I have seen this club play for a long time, and don't get me started on the game at West Ham, we are slowly getting caught up in the league and if this form continues we will be relegated.

Did anybody seriously expect us to be any higher up the league before the season began. Before a ball was kicked we were the bookmakers favourites for relegation. It was always going to be a massive struggle. We are not detached at the bottom and have a fighting chance of staying up. If we do people say how well Cooper did to defy the odds. Two days ago Cooper was being linked with the Tottenham job. Other Clubs are envious that we have Cooper. In my opinion sacking him now would be fatal to our chances of staying up.

He's not getting sacked and nobody is calling for that.
But we are playing poorly and we look a total shambles away from home with no sign of any improvement.
Now our home form is stuttering too.
We need a win on Friday desperately.
We are Forest fans and some of us are deeply concerned and staying in the PL means everything to some of us.
What is wrong with that?

Some on here will reflect at the end of a possible relegation season that the reason we flopped at this level were a result of various issues like injuries or poor tactics, substitutions, VAR, and any other you can think of. When is come down to it SC and the coaching staff have an opportunity every week to try and effect the next game's result, but nothing has changed this season in any respect, still shipping goals away from home (7 in the last 2) and minimal attempts on the oppositions goal. Games are running out and most can see that the only direction we are going is down the table, I implore SC to rethink this out now, it very much shit or bust time we either stay up or go down fighting, at the moment we are neither of these just stuck in a malaise!!!!!

There is no way on earth that Tottenham will go for Steve Cooper, they will go for a much bigger name.

I agree. Tottenham will want a bigger name to replace Conte but the mere fact Cooper’s name gets linked to high profile jobs like this suggests the general consensus is that he is doing a decent job at Forest. Personally I think he has done a lot better than decent. We had such a lot of ground to make up in the summer to make us competitive at this level. The lack of quality at centre back is worrying me and limited goal options. Dennis and Lingard have under achieved expectations, maybe Williams a bit albeit he is young and has time to develop.

Home form stuttering is an exaggeration. We got an excellent draw with City then one draw with Everton.

We need to be beating the Everton's of this world at home Wassy if we want to stay up. They are below us in the table, we shouldn't be celebrating a 2-2 against them. City murdered us as did Leeds but we somehow managed to pick up some points. Wolves played us off the park too in the cup but we scraped through on penalties.
I stand by my words that we are stuttering at home.

I think you're right to an extent, but it's where we are as a result at present. Every game is a gargantuan battle yo get anything.

We are all worried but you can’t judge cooper on the recent run when he has the worst team in this league to work with and on top of that has his keeper, best CB, best CM and only mobile big forward are crocked, (amongst others).
I said it on the spurs thread- wait to judge until after we have had 2/3 games following the international break.
17th will still be a fantastic job- The gulf between the championship and PL is massive.

IF we can stay out the bottom 3 by the end of next weekend he should have more options to choose from. Then he will need to earn his corn. He hasn’t made excuses and knows we need to be better. I just query his winter signing of wood and Shelvey who for me haven’t had the desired impact.
