We seem to have played most of the teams at the bottom away already.
After our game on 6th May vs Southampton we have
Chelsea away
Arsenal home
Palace away
In other words I want to see us with 38 points at 5pm on 6th May.
Got Leeds away still to play too to be rearranged. Fairly important...
Won't that game be moved to 7th May due to Coronation?

Looks like Nathan Jones is about to get the boot from Southampton. Board have received lots of complaints from players about him. But let's not forget according to him he is statically one of the best coaches in Europe.

I'd really rather they stuck with him for now.
At least Dyche has already gone somewhere. Maybe they can get Lampard in to seal their fate.
On other note, I had to laugh at some Forest fan on Twitter yesterday calling Jessie Marsch 'Yank Lampard.'

Manchester City have been charged by the Premier League for breaching numerous Financial Fair Play rules.

In all honesty if Chelsea aren't charged as well you could say there's some funny stuff going on.
Makes you laugh, the media made a big thing about how much we'd supposedly spent on how ever many players but not a lots said about Chelsea on the amount they've spent.

I don't know I think there's been a lot on Chelsea, UEFA have already changed the FFP rules because of them and I presume the prem will do the same.
Chelsea may well be charged in the future but they haven't breached anything yet as they won't submit the accounts for this year until next year. Their strategy isn't as clever as they think either as they'll now be stuck with high amortisation on their accounts for the foreeable future and won't be able to buy man players. They've signed so many players in the same positions so they can't play them all meaning some development will be stalled.
Plus not really been mentioned but in accounting terms, if they sell any of the players on the 8 year contracts say after 2 years they would have to take the hit of the remaining amortisation. So for example, they bought Mudryk for 80m on an 8 year deal, so 10m a year. After two years they decide that he's not good enough and want to move him on. If they chose to sell him for say 60m at that point they would not make any accounting profit as the fee received would offset the amount of amortisation (60m) left. Any less and they'd make a loss. So they would then have no budget to sign a replacement. It really means they are stuck with this group of players regardless of how well they do. Although there is an argument that fees continue to rise so maybe it will offset the above a bit.
Anyway, sorry went off on a tangent.

A points deduction to stick Man City at the bottom of the table would be nice.
Let them keep all their Premier League titles though - don't want Liverpool getting more.

The way the media report on transfers doesn't help anyone, they just want easy headlines
For example
£88m for Mudryk is the headline. But this is really £62m up front with up to 26m in add-ons.
He is on a reported 98k per week for 8 1/2 years. ie 5m per year or 42.5m total wages.
Haaland on the other hand
£60m fee seen as a bargin
But he is on a reported 340k per week for 5 years. ie 17.5m per year or 87.5m total wages.

We've won as many points in five games in 2023 as the sheep did in their entire record-breaking season.

Yeah this seems to be a lesser discussed part of their strategy is that by bringing in young players whose previous salaries were not massive, they haven't had to give them the absolute top tier of salaries so they can bring own the wage bill. Will be interesting to see how that works for the players like Mudryk if they do will and want a raise in a year or too.

That's disappointing, not loads of managers out there to replace him at least. Suspect they won't be the last team in the bottom half to change managers.
