Are you counting the two losses to Man Utd in the league Cup in that form? Come on, what's the point of that. The second leg we didn't even play a full team and took out our best players at 60 mins.

Yes wassy i am. You and I may be able to simply right those 2 games off but there will be an effect on the player's confidence. Losing eats away at confidence.

I'd say players confidence would be improved after a good display from starting line up at Old Trafford.

I meant confidence may nosedive if we lost today nffc93. But to apply my logic, today wasnt a glossy performance but we got the win. The performance will be quickly forgotten but the win will be enough to recharge the confidence battery.

Just reflecting on today. What a massive win this game was. Apart from looking solid at the back we played poorly really but to get a win, against the run of play against a rival, and with a patched up side, was immense. The football gods are really treating us favourably atm.

Particularly as Brennan was offside before he got fouled.

Leeds have got two games against Man U next. Lose both of them and they're right in trouble.

None of them easy of course especially Brighton but 4 more 1-0 wins and mission accomplished.
