Thought Danillo had a decent debut today. To be honest I was a bit worried he wouldnt have the minerals to come on in a scrappy game and hold the level required, but he did. He looks a real athlete and as just a 21 year old will no doubt continue to develop physically. Very early days but first impressions are positive.

And Scarpa was decent too. His introduction definately improved us. He has to start now on Wednesday for me.

I lauded Lodi last week against Leicester but thought he had a poor game yesterday at Bournemouth very happy with him over all though.

Both full backs were really disappointing after being amazing vs Leicester. Maybe a tactical thing that Bournemouth did? Birtles on comms was constantly laying into them.

Birtles had every right to be fair.

Anyone else think Danilo has more than a bit of Guy Moussi about him?

By that I mean both the good and bad. One minute a crunching tackle, striding forward with the ball, a sublime pass. Then the next he gives the ball away and always seems to be a hairs breadth from a yellow card.
I do think he has a much higher ceiling than Moussi ever had if Cooper can take off some of the rough edges but think we will have to put up with a few mistakes for now.

I should point out that for all his faults Moussi remains one of my favourite Forest players of the last 20 years, will never forget the day he kicked Savage the length and breadth of Pride park to the point Savage was subbed off looking like he might cry. Comparing Danilo is meant as a compliment.

Hopefully, he'll iron those things out in time.

I think he would benefit from Yatesy returning so he has more cover. Made some good interceptions and got into some good areas. Might struggle for gametime once Shelvey is fit anyway. Suspect Cooper will ease him along once we have a fully fit squad.

You hope it’s just the transition to premiership football and some of his tackles are a half second off because of that. We have pretty much just thrown him in, if yates is some weeks off but shelvey returns sooner I could see him replacing Danilo.

The first half hour against Leeds the game was so frantic it was bordering on madness.

Danilo, Lodi, Scarpa and Felipe must have been thinking what the f**k is going on here.
