What a night. Madness. Still buzzing.
Positives
- A proper semi-final at last. Next generation getting a taste of what we oldies all had. Enjoy it kids!
- Hendo. Has 100% put the Samba argument to bed.
- Lodi, his Forest career is really kicking off now. What a player he is.
- Boly- Best CB on pitch. What were Wolves thinking?
- Yates and Freuler. Some statto please tell me how far they ran. Freuler seemed to pop up everywhere and Yates dominates people. -
-Jonno- the critics are beginning to eat their words.
- Colback- immense and wrestled us back into the game when we appeared to be going under.
- Dennis- his work rate really impressed me.
- VAR- Definitely a better game without it. Neither "penlty" claim would have been given, but the delay would have gone on forever. Ours was handball but outside area theirs was a foul, but the foul on Lodi (how blatant by the way how could lino miss it right in front of him?) would have meant theirs would be disallowed.
- MGW standing with finger's in his ears after lucky pen was funny and warranted.
- We are through.
Negatives
- Boly injury.
- The draw. Was hoping to play mancs in final to avenge 92.
- We didn't play too well for long periods with the ball.
- MGW at the very end. I've really thought about this as I love a bit of an edge, but I feel like (as above) he'd made his point after penalty. When we won and Hendo slid over in front of T block cameraman MGW chose to sprint directly to away end taunt Wolves fans. I totally get that he has taken alot of abuse on and off the pitch from them, but it showed a lack of class. Doesn't excuse their players response, but it could equally have been some idiot jumping out of away end. MGW is a class act on the pitch, I hope he learns from it and lets his feet answer any future stick.
Brilliant night should get 9000 tickets for away leg in semi (only 5000 away members so surely club can't f*(k it up!). Well done lads, dug in to get through.

Wolves fans crying about not getting a penalty...They had five penalties at the end and they bottled it.

Worth going back to the ridiculous decision to let that kid take the decisive 5th penalty too. What awful management that was, I notice our takers were the attackers/senior players. Freuler should perhaps take all penalties based on that one, wonder if he's taken them in shootouts for Switzerland. Surridge pen was a good save I thought (whereas Neves penalty was awful). Good to see other senior players like Worrall, Colback taking them, thought it was destined for an MGW winning penalty. Ballsy he took one although I had him down as a banker to miss particularly given his penalty in the playoffs was not good.
I don't know about anyone else but I was just saying "not Dennis, not Dennis" haha. Was relieved with Colback stepped up, maybe a bit harsh yes.
Glad there was no VAR on the last penalty too, looked like Henderson was possibly off his line...

I thought Yates would've fancied one too

I wonder why Williams wasn't in the squad last night.
Have I missed something?

Went off against Blackpool with a head injury so assume it was concussion protocol.

Hendo had his toe on the line. I watched it back this morning and paused the telly to check. It was a brilliant piece of keeping. World class save.

Cool, good to know, had been meaning to check. Was such a bad pen, barely even reached him. He's a top penalty stopper though, will be missed if we got to a shootout in semis. Sign him up!

Watch it back Wassy. Its a class act in goalkeeping. He makes the goal so small by coming off his line rapidly. How he managed to keep his toe on the line while doing so is remarkable. It was definately a penalty saved rather than missed.
