SC will likely be most annoyed with the effort today by a lot of the team, he will feel embarrassed for the showing they put on for the always amazing travelling support and it really flies in the face of the ethos he has cultivated. I’m sure a few of the lads will be getting the short end of the shitty stick from him this evening and have made his job very easy for identifying who can foxtrot Oscar this window.

So for me, silver lining, we now have very little doubt as to what our first team is and where we need to strengthen. We had no clue how to answer this question for the first half a dozen games, in many ways it’s progress.

I would have preferred not to get thrashed away at Blackpool to find these answers though!

Fuming. 10 of that XI could be one or two injuries or suspensions from starting Premier league games (Fewster the exception) and only Scarpa and Hennessey(possibly,) were OK.

Totally disrespectful towards travelling support, manager and ths great competition.

How do our front 2 not score a hateful between them before the collapse.

There are players I've defended mostly, today is indefensible.

There are definitely better ways to find out admittedly :D but I refuse to let this dampen the otherwise growing optimism for the season - I am ever the optimist to be fair.

What was with all the heading back and forth do none of those players know how to control a ball? And of course yates scores! Probably the only one still pushing to be in the box for a ball by the end

Blimey, Redbeard you've worked hard to find a positive. Respect and blessings to you.

Absolute shambles.
Some should never pull on a Forest shirt again!
Cooper picked a week team and then left it too late with the changes. We were disrespectful and got we deserve!
The league is the most important thing, but does this help us?

Yes, yes it does help us. Thinking as a business like the big man surely does there is more money in staying in the league we're in than staying in the FA cup or any cup to that matter. One thing for certain and that is Cooper knows who is willing to put a shift in and not just there for a decent wage. Get rid of the dead wood and get the lads who is willing to sweat blood for the mighty Reds. COYRs

Those players dropped a bollock today. A couple more cup games would have been ideal to keep fringe players getting minutes and chances to prove themselves.
Wednesdays selection will be interesting. I wouldn’t want any of our players to get injured for next Saturday so I’d probably pick most of them again. However a quarter final against a team we can beat with out first team is an opportunity.
Would have liked to have seen mbe soh from the start as I think his pace and ball playing is what is needed. Cook was awful.

I cant believe we got beat today. Put a ouple of the chances away and we win at a canter, even though we went behind. Strange, strange game.

Proper annoyed at that.

Surridge - should have had a hat trick his third miss is awful. His first he should have squared for Dennis - second chance - shovel foot
Dennis - at least 1 - Scarpas ball is screaming to be hit first time

Obrien - 50p head in own box

Williams - what was he thinking for the second?
Cook - so passive all game
Obrien - gets to the ball first and trips over

Williams - let his man run off him for the third

4th no one marking Yates in the box
