NFFC Squad 2022/23
I've not seen the full translation but apparently this article says that we agreed in October that we wouldn't play Bade. Which begs the question why on earth did we sign him at all?

Not sure about that. He was on the bench for one PL game fairly recently and he wouldn't have been on the bench if we had agreed not to play him. Also why would we do that anyway, what if Mckenna, Cook and Worrall were injured or suspended. It makes no sense at all to me.

Soz just posted this in the transfer section.

Assume its so he is free to go out on loan again in January as will only be his 2nd club.
As for the appearance on the bench that doesnt add up, would assume we would have paid an additional fee if he came on or maybe a rebate if he never plays?
Reckon Cooper decided very early on he wasnt up to it.

So if Bade leaves and Biancone out thats 2 spaces freed up for Scarpa and another.
Wouldn’t be surprised id either Richards or Toffolo go out on loan too.

Any other departures likely?

Agree with your instinctive logic, however he was on the bench v Wolves mid-Oct, and not in the squad since.  Which potentially lines up to the report timeline.  At that point we only had 6 games to Jan and 5 fit CHs for 2 positions - with CK as further cover.  So limited risk and assume there would have been a financial incentive to not play him….

I wont miss him. He would've played had he been good enough. He clearly wasn't.

I can't imagine for one minute that we would allow another club to dictate to us who we can and who we cannot play.

Its probably just we gave notice of our intention to return him and an agreement was made to try to not play him so the lad could get some football 2nd half of the season.

He played the second half against Stoke the other day I saw him with my own eyes and he looked decent so it will ne interesting to see if he's involved again tonight.

Played again in the second half yesterday too.

Not getting too doom and gloom as these games seem to be little more than training games at the moment but bloody hell - can we please win a game Reds ??!!

Losing becomes a habit, much as winning breeds confidence.

Feet still on the ground though.

They are making 11 changes at half time so it's not particularly relevant at the moment I wouldn't have thought.
