Our Defensive Options

Geeze. Put Janko at LB?

Our 'freebie' backline Summer recruitment is biting us here.

£13 million on an ACM...but freebie back line. Unbalanced?

I'd rather have had a rock solid keeper, a 'Colback' aged CH who can 'Dawson' a ball and a bit more depth at LB and we could still have had a decent ACM.

We tried to 'do it all' and some of it was unbalanced.

It's a 'first year' project for the new regime. If it was perfect, there'd be nothing to improve upon.

That's what the January window is for. It can't come soon enough.

We've kinda seen where the squad is weak in terms of depth and those positions that have creaked at the beginning of the season and...due to injuries, more recently. Eg. Dawson, a 35 yearly playing 3 games a week. It was only a matter of time before something on the body went 'ping.'

Just need a keeper who can claim the ball and play the ball to distribute it...and another CH who can 'Dawson' a ball.

...and a LB...

...and a robust 'muck and nettles' ACM...

...and a 'power and pace' Striker who can 'Collymore' a game when you're down 1:0 to Preston...who fluke a goal because Forest with a make shift LB didn't 'stop the cross...'

....and...

I'll stop there. :D

...oh yes. And a winger with experience and pace to change a game and 'unpick' a defence.

I knew there was something else...

Janko at left back with Osborn in front of him.

Lolley on the right side with Darikwa.

For the game at Derby I think it would be our best and safest option.

I would also be in favour of this option on Monday night, then at least Figs will be available again.

Can't we put Murphy in at CH? :D

Robinson is far better there. Our run coincided with him at LB and Dawson at CH. IT was transformative.

'Oh dear.'

I hope I'm proven wrong.

I think your right SA, unfortunately if Os is at LB we will slip down the table. We need to keep up with the pack.

Not sure why Ben gets a pick at LB over Janko?

Have you ever seen Janko play at left back? Has he ever played their in his career?

Assuming no official news on Daws/Fox? 're the left back debate, against the filthies I would be ok with Benny. Firstly, the filthies actually think they can pass the ball so wont be targeting long diagonal humps over the top. Plus he always plays well against his home town club out of embarrassment of having ever lived there no doubt or fear of ever being returned there. I hope we have 2 fit CBs but if not Benny will be ok at LB, more worried about Robbo at CB and if our attack can function properly again.......Please Forest, don't lose to these.

There is a story going round that Ben is injured too

If Benny is out then not only will we have a makeshift defence, but an untried unfamiliar one. Now I am more worried....Please Forest don't lose to these.
