If we change then Dyche for me. I’ve been consistent with that thought and am now on the fence with SC. I’ve been to every league game and sat through 6-0, 5-0 and 4-0 without laying a glove on the opposition in any game.

Blind optimism won’t win is football matches. Tactics and personnel do.

I would suspect he’s got 2 games max - 1 if we lose heavily to brentford.

Were he to come in he would do the exact thing Cooper is currently doing, play a compact defence and midfield, low block and use the most experienced players available to him.
The quality Arsenal showed yesterday is way beyond anything we have. Whether we put up enough of a fight is a different matter.

It’s 2 things for me SM
1. Dyche is a proven pl manager. Regardless of what you might think of his style he’s got recent course and distance in the prem and Coops looks out of his depth. Burnley are my local team and saw them a lot. They played some ok stuff and didn’t get the credit they deserved imho.

2. Work rate and effort. A lot of people think it’s a negative thing. I don’t. I expect that as a minimum when I watch football. I know dyche’s rep but reckon he would make us more solid and at least have a style or styles of play to make us more progressive and hold onto the ball. Not sure I remember burnley getting as many hammerings as we have in such a short space of time. Luxury players can be introduced once we have a formation and backbone of personnel. 

I’m not convinced 4 at the back suits us. We need to be more compact and stay in games and 433 / 451 isn’t for us. 

Dyche is also available, knows the club and area. 

I am still pro coops - just about. Just saying he’s the only alternative for me from a realistic target list.

Dyche probably would do the same thing but he might do it better and more effectively.

There seemed a shocking amount of commitment and fight yesterday which for me is more worrying I dare say that we even threw the towel in.

Yes I know Arsenal were very good but that doesn't excuse some of the things that went on on that pitch yesterday.

I am not buying the Cooper should stay because he is the best man to get us back up either.

We are only 3 points off safety and there should be no thought of going back down again and thinking who is the best man to get us back up again. With that mentality we might as well wrap up now.

Thankfully the likes of Dyche won't allow any of that kind of talk to creep in if he were to take on the job.

I would still stick at this point.
We aren’t a million miles away (points wise) from par at this point.
These 2 home games are vital IMO. minimum of 4 points needed and could really do with all 6.
We are going to need to get a minimum of 25 home points to give ourselves a chance. So we need another 5/6 home wins from 13 games. It’s certainly not impossible.

It’s they process we are adopting away from home that needs to change. We are going to need to get 2/3 wins and a few draws to get us to the required points tally.

I think we really do need a re-think during the WC break, as to how we can set up away not to sneak a draw, but give us the best chance of a couple of wins.

I guess if we are going to make a change then it has to be after the Palace game, as a new manager would then get 6 weeks to analyse what he has at his disposal.

I still on the stick with Cooper thought at present though.
