Like Sniff, I hate to say it but I think we need to get a new coach in who can look at the players and see what he's got rather than what he thinks he wants.
Shaun Dyche would come in and instantly make us more dogged, more coherent and less nieve. Im convinced of it. Whether even he could keep us up is a different matter though. I do doubt it.

Our best chance of staying up is sticking behind Steve Cooper. He has had some say in the players that have joined and specifically bought for the style he wants to play. It’s tough at the minute but was it ever going to be anything different. I have heard a few say we weren’t ready and they are right. The World Cup is going to disrupt the season and that might work in our favour. Steve Cooper might not succeed but he will have a better chance than any other manager who we could get at the current time. If we go down we do but the most important thing is we get the fundamentals right so we can challenge again. That could take a few seasons. It might we have to become a yo yo club before we establish ourselves in the premier league. In my opinion we would struggle to get anyone better than SC to oversee that over the next few seasons. Our promotion last season was a minor miracle. Staying in the premier league was always going to be a very tough ask.

I listened to the match, so cannot give an accurate appraisal of what happened, but I am inclined to agree with your thoughts
on our current predicament. I always thought that the World Cup break would be benificial to us.
If Scarpa joins us in January,as expected and we can secure a number 9 who is capable of playing in a hold up role, I believe we can save our season. IMO we really miss Davis, and what qualities he gave us in the build up to attacks, and keeping possession up top.
Batsuyai sounded like the player we needed, but commentators suggested he was a vanity signing wanted by Milty on a
whim.
This type of player should have been secured earlier. I read suggestions that he had always been available,so don't know who to believe.
To summarise, I believe we are only one or two players short of completing the jigsaw, and would advise that we keep Cooper.

Everyone can see Coops is struggling but what about getting a first team coach he may know that has PL experience? He may just need a sounding board to bounce ideas off?
It's an interesting point you raise Huddersz.
We currently have Tate and Reid who are hardly experienced been there and done it proven coaches at the top level.

Yes agree with that, I reckon he could do with an experienced pro beside him. A sort of Steve Bruce like figure perhaps, probably not Bruce himself but you see what I am getting at, someone who has been there and bought the tshirt but now happy to be a No2.
What he doesnt need is Giraldi screaming instructions to the team from the stands like he seems to do.

Yes I have Pap and maybe thats unfair, you are correct about his experience but,
I dont like the way he came in and sacked the very people who got us promoted a few days later.
I dont like that he has come from Watford that are in my opinion are a poorly run club
I dont like the way he was screaming and gesticulating from the sidelines during the Villa game, thats Cooper’s job not him
My hunch he is bad news.

Giraldi's record at Watford was very good. During his time there they stayed in the PL for 5 seasons and reached the FA Cup final which for a smallish club like Watford is a fantastic achievement.
He's not come here to take a back seat and I am 100% sure he will be the one who choses our next Coach and I dare say that he's probably already working on it.

Watford have continued to hire and fire managers after Giraldi lef them. And I watched a bit of their game last night and they look miles better than us.
