If we loose Tuesday and Saturday I think he will be gone. It’s a crying shame. Win or draw today and we had a fighting chance - wolves weren’t much better than us - nor were Villa but these are the games we need points from.
All other teams I e watched have so much more assurance on the ball and embedded systems of play.
We have just gone to every man behind the ball and try an hit on the break. After the goal Today we actually went hoof ball and had some joy. Brennan scores his penalty and we get a decent point. That’s not on cooper. Also his in game decisions are becoming a bit baffling to me - Dennis off was a shocker - it should have been Brennan - as at least Dennis was being a pain for defenders.
Recruitment has been shocking - and some players have shown a distinct lack of ability and desire.

Interesting to hear a few dissenting opinions on Cooper's performance this season. When he got extended last week I called it as a gutsy move by EM but to be honest I dont think it was the right thing to do, not with how we've performed.

The issue with Brennan is typical of the reasons he might get sacked. He keeps playing him, game in game out, and result is always the same, BJ's an absolute passenger. Why cant Cooper see this? If I can see it then im sure EM can. Same with the 3 at the back and two in midfield. It took up to the Villa game for him to accept that it didnt work. That was in spite of us shipping 4 goals a game in that formation. If you keep trying the same things and nothign changes then you have to ask the question is the coach not performing?

OK so how would you feel if we appoint Benitez and in January we are still as poor as ever and 10 points adrift.

Steve pissed me off with Awoniyi. He scored 2 goals and it looked as if he was starting to find his feet and then he got dropped. Strikers thrive on confidence and the message that Steve sent out to Awoniyi wouldn't have done his confidence any good at all.

I'll also add that I think EM was right to make changes to the staff last week. After spending over 100million on players, can he not expect to see more of return on his investment? Where was Awoniyi today? Lingard, Toffolo, Dennis? All these centre backs? They're all either not playing or they're absolutely shite, lets face it. One of the best players is Kouyate who was free. Same with Aurier last week.

OK so how would you feel if we appoint Benitez and in January we are still as poor as ever and 10 points adrift.

None of those things will probably happen but I hear what you are saying SM. I would feel OK with it though knowing that at least we tried something different instead of just throwing the towel in.

It does look and based on the 10 game to date that we are virtually certain to be relegated as 3 teams go down and we are definitely the worse performing group of players in the Premier. I am sure that what ever the combination of mix that SC try's it will not be good enough and I am now unsure if SC can make the jump to be a good coach at this level. As a supporter I don't want to see constant abject performances every week, if we are to go down lets have some balls and take every game to the opposition until are fate is sealed, its the only way that SC and the present playing staff will be able to say that they performed to the ultimate ability. I think we are at the tipping point now and if nothing changes support will drain quite quickly.

Awoniyi is clearly not up to the required level Sniff but how about changing the system and trying to get a few crosses into him, or play him in a two instead of asking him to play like Keinan Davis or Grabban and take long balls he cant control?  There's been no attempt to change things up top. Its the same thing, week on week, try to get the ball to Brennan for him to mis control it or run it out of play.

He was good enough in a very strong league last season. He' s being ruined here though at present. I admit he's not been great but I don't think it's his fault.

My tipping point was the Fulham game Lolz. If you're getting beaten at home by teams who were in the championship with you last season then you know its going wrong. 
 
And the fans were convinced it was because of all the new players. That was rubbish. Its been completely incoherent since the start of the season.
