Nottingham Forest - Fulham

Like a lot of people are up Johnson’s behind because of 2 goals I guess. As a front line it’s a spluttering mess and hopefully it settles down with some selection and performance consistency soon enough.

Apparently Lingard has created more chances than any other Forest player (8).

That surprised me initially.

Lingard has been playing well. Albeit a bit slow, he has been linking up well.

Of course, a lot of people dont want to see that...........for some reason.

I still expect more from Lingard in terms of running, ball carrying and pace.
I wanted him to put defenders on their heels, turn them, draw fouls and generally ‘get about them’.
That might be unfair but it’s what I was hoping for given his pedigree and what he did for West Ham.

If he’s in the team to link play and be a ‘passer’, then surely it’s going to be a straight choice between him and freuler. That’s going to be interesting.

Surprised to see so many sticking Lingard in their teams tbh. Got nothing against him, just not sure he warrants a place over MGW.

I think we're all praying its not the same Johnson MGW Lingard front 3

I think the issue with that front three is that MGW doesn't look comfortable as a forward in our current formation. I don't think that would change personally if it was Taiwo instead. I think if he were to drop Brennan (which he shouldn't) then MGW and Lingard would play behind Taiwo.

I agree think MGW fits the position we're asking for better from what I've seen so far compared to Lingard.

I think we're all in agreement that Taiwo has to start every game in this tactics though.

Taiwo or Surridge - there needs to be *one* out-and-out forward.

Most definitely, the system works with a proper centre forward as we saw the back of last year.

Looks like Mangala won't be available for this match, judging by Cooper's press-conference comments. Unless he's pulling a fast one again.

Well seemingly no leaked team news today so that’s already an improvement on the last match.

I've seen a couple, one of them Colback is starting, which seems crazy to me, so hoping fake news!
