Opposition Fans Comments
Spuz fans were always mouthiest, most entitled, gobsh1tes out of all London clubs (and that's saying something) with very little to back it up.

Good to see not everything has changed since we've been gone.

Altogether now: Champions of Europe  You'll never sing that.

Id say the West Ham fans have eclipsed them in the sense of entitlement league table. In my mind Spurs have always been one of the top 6 or 7 clubs in the country despite them never winning anything. West Ham are nowhere near that level of heritage and their current 'success' is only because of their geographical location and being gifted our Olympic stadium. But for some reason their fans seem to think they're an extra special club.

Historically though West Ham fan's have generally been decent. The whole Lingard thing didn't reflect on some of them too well admittedly. Back in 80s and early 90s, I despised Spuz almost as much as Liverpool because of their supporters.

Judging by many of their comments, not much has changed in those 23 years we've been gone.

I don't want to see them (Bournemouth).

Some early comments from Leicester fans:

This is going to be like two drunk tramps fighting over a chip.

Can we do a straight up manager swap with Forest? Contracts just go to the opposite clubs.

If the thought of losing to these lot doesn't make you feel physically sick then I don't know what you are even doing near our club.

We draw 1-1. They sack Cooper. We keep Brendan.

I keep seeing a symbolic image of a wounded fox limping across a field looking for a route to safety when suddenly on the horizon a load of Robin Hood types appear from the trees pointing their bows and arrows at poor filbert, licking their lips at the thought of such an easy target there for the taking……then I wake up and realise Forest are s**t too.

Could be a blessing in disguise playing these lot. No way Brendan keeps his job if we lose. Atmosphere will be toxic. Boo boys will be out in force and lets not forget the complete d**k heads who trashed the place last time out. I'm sure they will bring their version of idiots to do the same. This fixture has gone from being the one to look forward to the most to being one of the worst.

This match will be like two one armed dwarves trying to fight each other. It won't be pretty, and will not contain much skill but it will be fairly entertaining.

I work in Nottingham. I'm really, really not looking forward to this one.

I think we’ll beat Forest personally. They don’t know what they are doing (neither do we) but I think we’ll ‘turn up’ and get all three points.

Not if Rodgers is still here. They will be really up for this, and we won't be. We may score 2 but that won't be enough. Atmosphere will either be like a cemetery or toxic if we go a goal down. Our players are mentally shot.

The hatred for Forest outweighs anyone's hatred for Rodgers.
Last thing the team need in a game like this is a toxic atmosphere, especially if we concede early. Their confidence is non-existent as it is.
Save the boo's and the 'Rodgers out' for after the match.

They don't seem very confident at all.

Probably say the same about us.

That's true. At the end of the day it's the PL's two bottom clubs going head to head so I am not surprised that either side don't seem very confident.

If someone could post the opposition fans comments after every match I would really appreciate it.

I have enough on my plate with the predictions League and the general moderating of the forum and I can't do everything on my own. Thanks.

Wouldnt have wanted to open this thread until yesterday, not much fun reading that we are the worst team in the league.

Havent looked but doubt you will get much reaction from scousers other than moaning that they were unlucky or more likely slagging off their own team.

For what its worth thought they were poor and without taking anything away from a great Forest performance, many teams would have overrun the midfield they put out yesterday.

I'll have a go - Pre Match

If anyone can kickstart Forest’s season, it’s us.

There are goals in this. Forest back four is bang average and contains Serge Aurier, so we’ll probably get a penalty or two as well.

Cook and mckenna have to be the worst center backs in the league, so hopefully we can cricket score this one

Win, any win away in the PL needed. Gonna be tough, they will be bang up for it and the City Ground will be bouncing

Forest away holds a special place for me; it was my first ever game back in 1980.
Stood there with me Dad; a god fearing Christian as the coins, darts and bags of **** came flying over.
Great times !

Expecting a hugely tricky game, mainly because we can’t keep a settled side at the moment, I’d take any scrappy win at this point, just win!!

I think we could drop points here with that side.

Can’t wait to see us put another manager on the floor today, after seeing Pep and Moyes in their knees in the last two games.

Really hoping that Forest are the worst side I've seen in the last 20 years. Otherwise it could get very very difficult.

This has got the feeling of one of those horrible lunchtime kickoffs where we look so lethargic. Hope I’m proven wrong

What a disaster of a squad, I've never known a squad in any team to be as bad as ours with injuries.

A lot of people feeling glum in here.
I don't like the early kick off either and the injuries are beyond a joke but we should still have enough to beat Forest

Think this could be a slog. 3 points is all that matters!

I'd feel better if at home even with the lineup. Away from home we have been a little timid in the face of hostile crowds.
Just get the job done Reds.

Squad full of crocks. Team should be good enough to get a result against Forest though.

Match & Post Match Comments

There doesn't seem to be any space. I guess you have to credit Forest with being well organized.

Not been a great start a bit sloppy but that was some pass and then touch probably should score

Boys Need to move the ball a lot quicker

Pretty poor from both sides so far

Do other clubs get similarly vile songs sang at them with such regularity?

Forest like a whos who of PL has beens

This will be a major grind.
Hope Salah has his scoring boots on.

All the passing is backwards

When this settles down a bit we should beat them comfortably.

We do this alot - other than Thiago - but we need to move the ball faster. Even if the pass that is made is to the side. It should be max three seconds, pass. Instead, a player is receiving the ball looking at the obvious pass, thinking about it for a few seconds, and then making it: by which time it has been read and the only option for the receiving player is to pass back the way that it came.

All very negative play by us. Every opp to get the ball foreward we go sideways or backwards

We are soft on the 50/50s. Almost like the squad knows it can’t afford more injuries.

First goal wins this match.

I wasn’t expecting much quality today but it has is horrid to watch

This is shocking display after 30mins

What a horrible game of football this is!

Forest are so compact, not much room to do much offensively
Space is at a premium

Forest are getting the better chances too. It's just that they are so bad

We’ve been utterly inept this half but still had 3 good chances

We are really poor against a really poor side.

We don't deserve anything from this game so far. Lack of effort pace and imagination.

Exactly what I feared before the game.
Typical lunchtime game away from home where we struggle.
I’m not sure what changes can be made either.

They're very compact and we're not creating enough.

Joe Gormless is back

The mistake is dumb as hell from Gomez. But once he makes it he HAS TO commit the foul

Absolutely deserved that for just not turning up

Impossible
I can't believe this

No more than we deserved that’s all on Joe that

Absolute shower of a performance against a team that will be in the Championship next year.
Massive improvement needed

Plenty of time to turn it around

That has been coming, too much sloppy football, Gomez having a mare

Turned it off.

That's from absolutely ******** nothing. No danger and Gomez has a brainfart and they score from the freekick. **** this ************!!!

Don't want to see Gomez again this season

Keystone cop defending … this is Championship level from us

Don't care about previous games., this has been the worst performance this season. I am not even watching our attacks any more. I know the ending.

We're never going to score 1 never mind 2.

If we lose here, pack up the season because it's done.

Whats the .... point of beeating City and losing to a Sunday league team

Only Liverpool can go out and beat City one week and then lose to the relegation worst team in the league 6 days later.

We are shocking this season. Could talk about injuries blah blah. Fact is Klopp never got a few good players in to add to the squad and it's a mess now. Couple wins and we think ok great, corner turned.
Be lucky to get 4th!!
Gomez not good enough!!
Milner (shoring up sub only)
Jones not good enough
Fab where has he gone, crap this year
Hendo same as above
Trent as above
Team needs a good shake up.
Feel we are coming to an end of this good spell we've had last few years. Either Klopp gets quality in or he'll be gone. Is FSG not allowing him spend???
So crap to watch, truly awful. Playing the bottom of the league team, who'll be relagated?!! Turned game off. Depressed as ******. All the best y'all

Forest have more shots on target
We're ****

This is embarrassing got to be one of the worst performances in a season of bad performances so far.
Cant believe this is the best attack we can put out so early in the season!

So so easy for Forest.

Yates should have made is 2. Fabinho *****.
Thank God for Ali.

Our keeper is going to be our MOTM against the bottom of the league team.

Been bullied again today.
Saw hints of it coming back into our game in the second half against West Ham but now we're back to square one.
The city game serves as evidence that this team really is finished. it hasnt got it in them to raise their level each game.

Commentators talking up Forest and how they’ve had a great game. No they haven’t. We’ve literally given an extremely poor team three points by managing to be as bad as they are.

They celebrate like they have won the World Cup.

Forest deserved that, we deserved nothing.

Font know why lingard celebrating.....he's awful

It was their cup game. Yet again our complacency was evident by the team Klopp put out.Awful decision making thinking Forest would be a pushover. Klopp needs to apologise to the travelling supporters and pay for their travelling expenses. FSG also to blame for the lack of investment.
