Didnt we advertise Framework on a shirt at the start of one season when we had no sponsor in place? I seem to remember we did advertise one charity at some stage

But to play our first game in 23 years in the prem with no sponsor to a global audience, back on MOTD etc would be a tad embarrassing

Why's it embarrassing? It's literally just a big advert on the shirt. The club could've gone out and taken any old company, or even Boxt from last year but it values itself higher than that. If it takes a low offer now, it'll never get the best deal in the future. The club clearly thinks its going on to bigger and better things.

I'll tell you what's embarrassing. Not paying your bills and letting the tax payer pay. That's embarrassing.

I don’t see it as embarrassing.
It tells a story that we want to do it right, as and when suits us.

Still all very quiet on this front. Any whispers from anyone at all or is the club not pursuing this for the season now?

I feel it looks a bit bare without, though the third shirt isn't too bad.
It's not just the shirt though. The ground, the electronic advertising hoardings, the interview backgrounds - we're so far behind the rest of the league in this kind of thing. I know that's to be expected after so long away, but I hope it's something that EM and the crew will be working to improve over time. The more money we can get into the club through commercial and sponsorship activity, the better.

We will 100% have one at some point. Surely this is a priority as soon as the window closes

Or perhaps not.

I could understand holding off a few games if a good deal was in the pipeline but this is pretty embarrassing now and will count against us for FFP in the future. Really poor from the commercial team.

I dunno. If they accept (what they consider to be) a low offer from a company this season (such as Boxt), and then the club does well in the prem, does it become much harder then to increase the asking price in future seasons? Presumably to obtain big bucks you have to commit to a multi season deal with a sponsor.
Or is it just that Marinakis still naively expects the club will finish top 10 this year and as such can demand a high price?
