My view is there is basically the top 6 and the other 14 of which we are a member. I dont see any appeal for him joining any of the other 14. As for the top 6 would any of them take him unless we do something really miraculous like manage a top 4 finish this year (not beyond him considering the season just gone). None of those top 6 will take on a “promising” manager, they want proven and someone to make them CL winners. That isnt on Coopers CV yet.

Should Klopp go and they interview Cooper then Im sure he would go back there, he would be mad not to. But I just dont see that happening.
The realistic one maybe is if the Wales manager position should come up?

What about if say West Ham came in for him? They're top-ish of that 14 club league. Would he leave us to go there? Don't forget, he didn't want to be the Swansea manager when it became apparent they were shrinking rather than investing. He's an ambitious bloke.

I agree though, Wales might be a massive draw if that job became available and lets face it, who else currently would they be able to pick who might have a better CV?

Really don't think it warrants five question marks.

Let him concentrate on working with the ownership on building the squad. If everything is broadly agreed - as was reported a few weeks ago - then it shouldn't take long to wrap up the formalities.

I hear what you say SR but and its a BIG but Cooper in now the heart and soul of Forest at present and he should take priority in respect of signing a new deal, players come and go but a bright young manager/coach does not come around so quickly! Get it sorted and publicized Forest!!!!!

Cooper came to Greece a few weeks ago now to discuss a new deal. I was told and it was reported in some of the Greek press at the time (that is owned by EM) that a 12 month extension had been agreed. I may have jumped the gun that he had actually signed it though.

Sniff, do you think the reasoning behind the failure to finalise SC contract is the length of the extension? I personally would not see a further 12 months added to his existing deal as much reward for last season. I assume an up-lift in money is a given but maybe more long term security is required to settle the matter and sign off?
