I haven't seen many decisions as bad as that one. As a former referee I would say that the Linesman should have played no part in that decision. The contact was central, outside of the Linesman's quarter and was easily visible to the senior of the 3 officials. Also as the Red's player remained grounded outside of the area immediately following the tackle how is he supposed to have fouled in the box and then somehow reversed his motion to fall outside. Very poor on several different levels of competence. I'm sure that his assessor will give him a tough time after the game. The linesman should return to Sunday mornings in the Rochdale Junior league to relearn his trade
