Nottingham Forest - Huddersfield Town - Play Off Final

I do wonder if Garner is injured and can recover in time.

Might be back to a Yates/Colback midfield with Lowe at left wing back.

Lowe hasn’t played since 12 March, there’s absolutely no chance Cooper will start him after a groin injury on such a big pitch if he’s not had minutes elsewhere.

Has to be this side. Surridge to come off the bench and cause problems after 70 mins.

Feels like Surridge’s contribution in Davis absence is being slightly diminished.

If either Surridge or Davis went through one on one with their keeper, there’s only one man you’d want taking it and it’s not Davis.

I think I’d go with Davis - however, surridge has been one of our better players in last 2 games in my opinion. Worked his socks off and 2 assists. If Brennan had repaid his service he’d also would have had x2 tap ins!

JG is fine. It was a tactical sub as Cafu was a primary penalty taker as prepared for before.

JG was dancing around on the pitch after and bending down with no problems.

He’ll be fine

I wonder if the West End is a lucky end, seeing as thats where the Sunderland fans were today

No not at all but there is only one place up for Grabs (no pun intended) and I would give that place to Davis for 70 minutes and then bring Surridge on so they are both going to play a part any way.

So I’m guessing they’ll line up something like:

Nicholls

Lees - Hogg - Colwill

Pipa - Holmes - Russell - O’Brien - Toffolo

Sinani - Rhodes

It looks like Ward, their top goalscorer this season with 14 goals, might be injured after picking up a knock against Luton in the second leg.

Nicolls is in the Championship Team of the Season (although Samba’s save rate ratio is better).

Toffolo has had a great 2022, with five goals since 1 April.

Hogg is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Championship in terms of ball retention. Yates will really need to be all over him in that battle.

It’s questionable whether Sorba Thomas will start or if they’ll bring him on to stretch us but he is fantastic from deadball situations and we have to be careful not to give away sloppy fouls outside the box. He is one of the most creative wing backs in the league.

Of their side I think O'Brien is the best player. Tenacious and combative, but good at progressing the ball. I think he'd be a decent shout for any lower premier league teams. I know that Leeds were interested before. Garner and Yates will need to be all over him without fouling and giving away needless set pieces.
