Totally excited and sick about this match. We need to turn their defenders and not give away silly free kicks if we want to walk away with the win.

I think the players will handle 90 minutes ok.
Extra time will be too much. So need to put the chances away and get this done in normal time. If Davies starts, I think we win.

Agree Davis has to start, we need his drive and his ability to hold the ball plus keep the defenders busy. My worry is midfield, looked very tired in the 2nd leg and allowed the blunts too much space.
I’m sure SC will cover all bases and get the lads firing on all cylinders. I’m not nervous, if we win I’m thrilled if we lose we’ve had a cracking season. Would be nice for the younger generation to watch Forest in the PL though.

I really hope we can win it, after the season we've had I can see many of the loan players wanting to stay and play in the prem and it being a possibility that we can get those deals over the line. Otherwise there will be quite a job on recruitment wise if we lose the likes of Worrall, Spence, Johnson, Garner, Zinc, Davies, Lowe. The 'typical Forest' would be to fall at the the final hurdle but I really have started to believe we can shake that off this season - either way as Daniel Taylor has said this week, get Steve Cooper on a longer contract ASAP.

On the issue of our loan players, surely Lowe must be getting back to fitness. He would be useful player to have as an option from the bench, especially against tiring legs.
I thought it was initially six weeks... we are a long way past that.

We will be wearing our away kit according to their local rag, Hudds wearing home kit, both teams have white shorts so not allowed.

They looked good against United in the 1st leg, after a long rest for many..........but 2nd leg we looked tired all game. Its no surprise United looked tired in extra time as they run like crazy all match. Thats not the point. The point is our boys are tired.......a long rest will see them good for 90 minutes in the final, but I fear if it goes to extra time they will be stronger than us. So we need to get a result in 90 minutes, else we could lose in extra time as the tiredness kicks in again. Should be a really good final. I think and hope we will win comfortably, but its going to be about converting those chances when they come in the 1st half. |
