I've not mentioned Huddersfield because if we do our business on the pitch they are irrelevant. They cannot finish above us if we win our games.

If we finish 2nd then, obviously, it's champagne time. If not then whether we finish 3rd or 6th or in between it matters not to our chances of promotion. For me I would prefer to avoid Middlesbrough simply because we would lose Spence who's been immense and could win us our place amongst the big boys. If we play as we can then we'll do it because we'd be the best, simples.

I will say it now.
Win our next 3 games and we are promoted. That is all.

Game on, belt up and enjoy the ride. I've always fancied a party in Hull.

One game at a time for me. Can't think past this weekend. I know that is what the team will be saying and trying to do like us. However I hope that even if we didn't have top two by the close of season the team does not feel disappointed not getting it. Need to be full of confidence as we are in the play offs which was mission impossible after the first 7 games.
Ive been watching a few Bournemouth blogs over the last few days. The one I watched yesterday was primarily about their draw v Fulham. They seem to be chuffed witht heir late equaliser. They were speculating who would be the better side in the prem next year, them or Fulham. And last night I saw one from directly after their draw last night. They were utterly pumped after coming back from 3 down. Fair enough, they did well to do that but they seem completely oblivious to the fact that there's a steaming great juggernaut coming up behind them.
They mentioned next Tuesdays game. Its a game they can and ought to win apparently.

I'm starting to think I'd rather bournemouth drew with Blackburn on the weekend. Think I prefer being the chaser. Imagine the pressure on Tuesday night if we managed to beat Swansea and Bournemouth lost to Blackburn. We would only need to draw on Tuesday then though...
Ugh! It's too much to handle right now! Let alone for Tuesday!

Got to beat Swansea first and make it to that game. The team looked pretty knackered last night so won't be easy. Although having just thrown away a 3-0 I can't imagine Swansea will be in too good a position either!

A win on Saturday guarantees us at least 4th place and the home leg 2nd in the playoffs. As it stands we will finish at least 5th.
Anything above that will start talking about it after 5pm on Saturday if we win. Big game against a side that scores plenty and will have a point to prove to their former manager. |
